Brush hog accident(s)

You ought to see the shape my boots are in; I'll hold on to those until there is nothing left of them. 🤣
I just went to replace a pair of boots... only to be told that the company no longer manufactures footwear.
Hopefully I can get my old pair resoled, so that they can last another year.

Anybody know where I can get a decent pair of Made in USA steel toed work boots for under $200?

No Crocs at work for me. I like my feet in one piece. Crocs are for putting the dogs out back to do their business.

And when did Crocs become "high end" ish? I remember them in the dollar store a half dozen or dozen years ago.

I would say "Red Wings", but I've got a 20+ year old work boot pair that I had resoled 10 years ago. These are not steel toe. I went to put them on last month after them sitting for the last year and both soles have come loose on the boots. I'm going to take them back to the Red Wing store and see if they can fix the soles again (they did the resole). Otherwise I love the boots.

I have a pair of steel toe Red Wings also, that I almost never have to wear, so they are like new. I would only have to wear those if I got a service call to the mines or power stations.

The ones I wore as a machinist/steel fabricator at Bobcat look like they've been through a war. But nothing would look pretty for long in that environment. This pair also had the metatarsal guards in them, which made the boot huge, heavy and quite stiff.

Crocs are legit. They have two modes: sport mode where you flip the backstrap up on the front for quick in and out wear. And they also have all-terrain mode where the strap goes behind the heel.
What mode is socks with sandals or socks n’ crocs? Limp mode?

I do wear slip on shoes around the house and yard but they are not my grandmas shoes. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That’s a good call. It probably means you’re way overdue for a regen, and you’re tail pipe needs more frequent cleaning.

We need to get back on topic:)

Topic is brush hogs and I have to go mow today. What can I do to prevent moisture in my gearbox?

I posted a separate thread about it already, but haven’t seen much in the way of suggestions. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.
