Oh man. I know I'm way too late to be helpful now, but I'm curious why you chose to chainsaw and then stump-grind, instead of using that excavator to simply fell the trees, stump and all? For any tree under a foot, its quite easy to just dig out the stump and push the whole tree over in a controlled fashion. Then you cut the stump off with the whole tree up out of the ground. Bigger trees, probably too dicey eh.
Some of those stumps would have left serious craters that needed to be filled. And didn't have access to a machine big enough to handle the monsters. If I contracted it out, it would have been around $10k. I did it myself for around $2k with equipment rentals.

I burned through around 25 stumps an hour with the stump grinder. So the bulk were done in about 4 hours. The rest of the time was taking out the monster stumps.

I was also told to not disturb where the septic was going.

Signed paperwork and put a deposit down on a camper today. 36ft with 4 slides. Total length is 41ft.

Got a text from the contractor a little while ago. Starting on water and septic tomorrow.

Now I just got to light a fire under the power companies butt

So as fancy as that camper is, why build a house? We moved onto the property 5 years ago in a pop up camper. The wife's van was our clothes closet. Electric came about 3 days later. Month later dad brought over his fifth wheel for us and we felt we were living high. Jon.

Thanks. We looked at a bunch of them the past couple weekends but kept coming back to this one. For long term living in one, it made the most sense with the extra room off the kitchen.

It's a 2019 model and about 1/3 the cost of some brand new ones that we looked at.

It's also a true 4 season unit.
