You have to be excited

Amazing how far trailers have evolved all these years. My grandfather next door bought his first Airstream in 1956. It was one step up from a Bambi. I slept in an overhead compartment, my nose an inch from ceiling. Every night I dreamed I was buried alive in a coffin.
The tiny bathroom was like a telephone booth...you sat on the toilet to shower.
I still have my Wally Byam beret though!

Thanks. We looked at a bunch of them the past couple weekends but kept coming back to this one. For long term living in one, it made the most sense with the extra room off the kitchen.

It's a 2019 model and about 1/3 the cost of some brand new ones that we looked at.

It's also a true 4 season unit.
Nice rig but look the underside over once you have it. They often leave up to 6" openings into the basement and water lines can freeze. Takes light and some crawling, not hard to resolve with insulation.

The opening is actually in the front where the water line connects. It's a 4" diameter opening.

The sales guy showed it to us yesterday as well as giving us tips for for preventing a water line freeze as well as plumbing in a larger propane tank.

There are days I wish we would have done the camper thing...our house was supposed to be done no later than June...still waiting. I'm now paying for a cheap motel while i wait. If it was cooler, I'd just live in my garage.

Looks like y'all have a good plan. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

One sitting here has a big opening from the kitchen slide into the space behind all the water valves. Just something to sniff out before it gets cold. Not a show stopper by any means. I pretty sure 4 season for RV makers is tested in southern florida not canada.... ;)

That's surprising since most are manufactured in Indiana

I'll sniff around on it. The water seems to run through the center belly and no water is run into any of the slides.

Some rv's will have heat in the lower compartments and a heating element in the holding tank. Use the water lines with the heating wire attached as well. Add the extend a tank lp connection also so you can easily swap out the tanks.

Mice also love the basements when it starts to cool off.

Is it possible to seal every (mouse) access point in a camper?
