Morning all, 69 going up to 80.
Cleaned up mini-split-running well.

I worked at 7wtc and spent a lot of time in the towers.
Today my shared desk is at the new 3WTC, though I try not to go into that area.

Lost a lot of friends

Good morning! 68˚F heading to only the mid 90s with Southerly winds and partly cloudy skies.
Yes Kyle 40˚ colder than our highs and 10˚ colder than our lows. Finally it does not feel oppressive outside.

I was in Houston during Carla, JFK assignation, and 911 all memorable days for sure. Carla - had neighbors shingles break our windows, Hear about JFK while playing football with neighbors and heard about 911 while in the front yard of a double fatality fire.

Good Morning
It’s 67 with a high in the middle 70’s forecast with slight chance of a shower late in the day. Better than the inch of rain we got yesterday spread across several showers throughout the day.

It was a good test of the Henry wet patch on the roof collar. The dining room stayed dry. I will replace the collar, possibly just slide a new one over the existing one when I get to it, but the patch was what I had on hand in the face of a rainy day. The main goal was to stop the leak, which was achieved. You can see where the vent goes up in the picture.

Went to the Perkasie Lion’s club chicken BBQ for lunch with a friend while wife was at farmers market. The Transit Connect is working out great for her. Grandson came up to play for a little while, rounding out the day.

Today I have to act as a pall bearer for a good friend that suffered a massive heart attack. It’s erie that a few years ago, he asked me to sell his airplanes and take a fee, so that his wife wouldn’t have to deal with them. I told him that I would do one of those things, he said that if I ignored a dead man’s wishes, he might come back and haunt me. Keep in mind he was younger than me and healthy as a horse up until his heart attack.

No other plans, we will see how the day goes.

I’ll always remember 9/11/2001.
I was in Goose Bay, Labrador when it happened. I was flying a Sabreliner and was waiting for a group of sportsmen on a fishing trip.
All of the transatlantic traffic inbound to the US was diverted to either St. John’s or Goose Bay, which were quickly overwhelmed, as they lacked the facilities for that sort of volume.

It was over a week until the border opened up, and we allowed to cross back into the US. We had to clear customs in Rochester, and police vehicles followed the plane as it taxied in.

And not to mention, that is what triggered the creation of the TSA……

We went through Alicia in 1983 in Houston. Small but slow mowing hurricane caused a lot of damage to Galveston and Houston area. No AC in Houston in august is a challenge and thankfully we had motorhome with generator to escape to but crowded with nine kids and four in diapers for about 10 days

70° partly sunny.
Just got back from taking Tiger to vet for nail trimming. Wife misunderstood, it cost a small fortune. I went to keep Tiger company on the drive. When wife takes him in carrier, he gets all worked up and then throws up. I kept him under control.

Sorry for the loss of friends.

My youngest going to get c19 tested. I don’t think he has it, but he’s had sore throat for a couple days.

This has been wettes summer in many years. 😳

As the Mrs. said "Cowboys took Giants to wood shed gave them good spanking" 🙄

Don’t t let a good crisis go to waste.
Good Morning Guys,
61 going to 71 with showers in Vt.

Thomas, that would be an understatement ! Just horrible !At least if your a Giants fan !

PopG,
At this point sliding a new sleeve over the existing mess would be your best bet, without pouring a bunch of work into that ! That tar would be a bear to clean off and have the new sleeve actually not leak anymore ! JMO !

BEF,
Yes I understand things needed to change thus the TSA, but when I have to go to the TSA to be fingerprinted every time I need to renew my CDL with a Hazmat Endorsement to the tune of $87. To me that is BS, they have more of my fingerprints than I can count to ! Just a Money Making grab, also JMO !

Hope all have a safe and blessed day !

Good morning! Low of 55°, high only up to 76° forecasted.
A good 60% chance of showers today, 80% chance tomorrow. I hope the rain comes to fruition. The high tomorrow is forecast to be 66° --- WOOHOO!

I told the wifey last night that I was going to be really pizzed if I held off on the addition work and it doesn't rain....

The brisket turned out wonderful! Wrapping it took it through the stall in about 30 minutes. Took another 2 hours to hit 205° on the flat, 201 on the point. Very tender.

I was very surprised at how much weight loss there was. Lost another 3 lbs in the cooking process. About a 60% loss total weight..... essentially doubling the cost.

Guess what's for dinner tonight?

Mostly, yes, the materials are stored in the garage / shop. Bundled and strapped together. The only item outside is the stack of wood siding. 16' long pieces, banded in packsof 6. They are up on blocks, covered/wrapped with a tarp.

Drew, our 'normal' coffee has been the Columbian Supremo from Costco. $17 for 3 lbs. We also get their San Francisco Bay french roast, which is the same cost, but only 2 lbs.

Kyle and Don, hope you guys get some rain, glad the temps have finally gone down, albeit only a little bit.

More piddling today. I was able to knock out a few small little projects yesterday. Need to find some more for today....

Everyone have a great start to the week!

Ted, I like Columbian too, but I guess I get tired of it and want to try something else.
Kona is delicious and fairly mild.
I can't buy big sizes because it goes stale before I can finish it.
Maybe I should decant it into a vacuum container...?
or stick the whole thing in the freezer?

Three weeks before I was in the second sub-basement of 7 picking up a van load of second-hand Motorola mobile radio units from the Feds for our agency to equip our vehicles on the cheap.

9-11 Seems so long ago, but like yesterday

69°F and .41 inches rain.

Got some mowing done in the shorter areas, need to finish.

Likely get started on Sophie’s pool conversion. Chemistry is pretty close.

Home hosted Happy Hour at neighbors this afternoon. Always good.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
