I just have to put on my engineering cap and figure out a redneck design for a fix.

Pine is like tack a little spec turns into a big problem

There are some who won't upgrade to a newer Tier because their old tractors run better with less fuss. The previous tier was clean and ran fine.
Good Morning Guys,
In Ct, 63 to start going to 76 ! We have monsoon type rain at the moment ! Like you would see in Florida ! Dont see any outside work getting done any time soon !

LS, I have no doubt you will come up with a problem finding fix !!

Buppies, I couldnt figure out how I was getting sap on the shoulders of my tee shirts when I was mowing the yard in Vt, and then it suddenly dawned on me that was from getting to close to the pines in the front yard ! ;)

Kyle, there is something to be said for running an almost 40 year old Massey, 1986 MF1040 that burns heating oil and still runs well ! ;)

Yesterday my wife saw something on TV about Unclaimed Money ! We checked both are names in the data base with no luck, but we also checked my deceased mothers name and she is owed $879. So now we are in the process of trying to claim that money. We down loaded the forms and I have her death certificate, I just need the probate certificate at this point. I was the Executor of my parents estate, so my name should be on that certificate. I dont know how long that will take to process but its a nice surprise never the less ! We had to purchase a new garage refrigerator, so this will more than cover that cost !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day !

60 this morning high of 80 .24 in of rain yesterday some places close by still raining

Wifes eye looks better this morning

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country

Dftodd the tooth experience sounds like a nightmare. Have fun in Florida
Thank you. It was a nightmare.

My issue was a botched root canal late last year. The dentist missed part of the root.

The dentist office I was using had a revolving door of dentists so I never really saw the same one.

The original dentist was flacky. The next one was practicing way above his experience level and botched the root canal.

The next one couldn't find a nerve. And the final straw was missing time from work for an appointment just to have them call me to reschedule 10 minutes before my appointment.

My question to them was if you knew yesterday that the crown didn't show up, why wasn't the appointment rescheduled yesterday. Now I'm three hours late for work with nothing to show for it.

So... when that tooth went bad I made an appointment with my wife's dentist to get a referral. This was a totally different dental practice.

I walk in and it's not my wife's dentist. It's the flake from the other practice. They were filling in for my wife's dentist while she was on maternity leave...

So that resulted in miscommunication and no set appoitment for the endontist. Me having to just set up an appointment myself. And the flake prescribing an ineffective antibiotic for the issue

Thankfully the endontist got me fixed up yesterday. I sure wasn't looking forward to this trip the way I was feeling Now I'm just dealing with a bruised jaw bone that's easily managed with ibuprofen and back to my normally sunny disposition

Drinking first cup of coffee. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 67° with partly cloudy skies. Went to neighbors and moved tree limbs off their lawn. While took down a pine tree that was blocking view of flower garden. Rest of the day was spent relaxing. No plans for today yet.
Found this Katydid on my barn door.

.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
I was trying to think of Katydid yesterday and couldn't remember the name.

Good morning! Low of 54°, heading towards (possibly) 69°, it's still 54° at 09:00. A few sprinkles overnight, but it has been raining steady since 08:00. Currently .85" in the gauge!

I'm glad that I stopped the work progress on the addition.... would have been a mess ....

All the grading work on the drive has revealed a good slope / swale was achieved. The rain is draining perfectly.

The courtyard walkway is draining perfectly too!

Kyle, it's the blend door itself being "tight", the door is manually moved by cable. The gear that keeps breaking is directly connected to the temp knob. The other end of the cable attaches to another "geared" lever that attaches to the blend door.
My suspicion is directed towards that lever/gear combo. the blend door can be moved with your fingers using the small gear (door side) but if you put the "arm" back on that gear, it becomes almost impossible to move.

The assembly for both the mode select and temp are manually cable controlled, no motors or solenoids involved. Unfortunately, the cable will not activate the blend door movement. The cable is super easy when not attached.

Going to take the opportunity to run to Costco today while it's raining. Wifey is going to make some chicken soup.

Better get going..... Everyone have a great day!

60F with light rain @ 12:00, headed up to around 67F for the day's high. Local weather station reports a total of 0.16" since it started yesterday so it's looking we're getting a decent soaking.

Showers will probably end around 14:00 or so and the sun will make an appearance after that.

Glad to see at least some of the folks down south are getting some relief from the heat and drought.

Worked out in the garage some yesterday cleaning things up and made a little progress. It's pretty cluttered so kind of hard getting back into it.

Probably spend more time on that today.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

71°F and .06 inches rain

Nothing big on the agenda today. Not from lack of opportunity, just lazy LOL, resisting anything major. Guess that could change after coffee.

Do need to make a PO run.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The blend door on my jeep has a little gear and arm to drive it on both sides.
On the passenger side I replaced it a few years back and that one still works.

On the drivers side, it seems there is a rubber insulator that comes loose and blocks the door from moving, so now have heat when I drive but passengers have AC.

Still contemplating what to do as it looks like a lot of work to get to that door.

Designed to fail :-(

Maybe that’s why I never get started, no coffee.

My son getting tickets to go to Oahu early next year, he wants us to go. I’ve been there, wife hasn’t.

I took wife to Dr appointment and waiting on her. Then ice cream later. My plans to clean out the unfinished room upstairs probably won’t happen today.

Good Afternoon BEF,
We loved Oahu, rented a house on the north shore for our first week, and then drove to Honolulu to board a Norwegian cruise ship for the second week. One of my gig moments was getting into the surf at Wiamea Beach sp?, David probably knows the proper spelling ! Anyway I have always been a good swimmer, swam in HS etc,,, The surf was 5 and 6ft rollers, kind of intimidating , we managed to get in and cool off but getting out proved to be a little more challenging ! :ROFLMAO: Sodamo may be able to elaborate a little more on that subject !:)

But it was great fun, went with two other couples ! The plane ride from JFK is another story, non stop, and the first hour we sat on the tarmac in the rain waiting to take off !

Anyways if you go again, Im sure you will enjoy it !

Scott, used to love the north shore. Several years when I was an Army Recondo school instructor we conducted rubber boat training in Waimea and survival training in Haleiwa. Doubtful I’d brave that surf these days. Last time I was there, maybe 10 years ago, I couldn’t believe the traffic.

I lived down Ewa Beach and got most of my ocean time there as it was just a walk across the street.

I’ve been to Oahu, stayed at kawela bay on north shore, been to Waimea falls. Enjoyed a nice dinner in Haleiwa beach house, (was called Jameson then), been to Pearl Harbor and hiked up on diamond head. My wife has not been there.
We have an army friend stationed there now.

My wife and I went to Maui in 2002.
