Branson 8050, IH 574, Oliver 1550 Diesel Utility (traded in on Branson) NH 8160. Kioti CK2620SECH
Well got my new little Kioti Tuesday this week haven't had much time to do anything to speak of with her yet.
Sitting on the trailer when delivered I could see that the tires were over inflated. Yesterday evening I got around to checking
them, damn what a surprise. The dealer that I got it from has been a long time dealer through a couple of generations
it started out many years ago as a New Idea implement dealership. Now days it's got about 3 dealerships and handles Kioti,
Kubota, and Yanmar tractors. They have been a lawn and garden size dealer for many years, but not large ag.
The rears on my tractor as found were over filled with beet juice and over inflated at 40 PSI, I drained juice out till I got them down
to 25 PSI on the rears and they were still pouring out beet juice. The R14 tires are labeled max pressure 30 PSI for the rears,
the fronts are labeled max pressure 44PSI and they had them at 25 PSI. Seems to me that whoever they stuck with the prep work
isn't very well versed or trained in their job and may have likely gotten the inflation pressures reversed.
This was the first time I've messed with filled tires on a tractor with a backhoe mounted as I was finishing up last night, it
dawned on me that I was not doing this the smartest way. I should have lifted the rears just off the ground or at least enough to unload them
and then just pulled the valve core section out of the stems and let the beet juice pour out till it got down to the level of the valve stems
then just aired the tires up to 20-25 psi. May still do so later on.

I was amazed at the traction the loaded R14's with the backhoe still mounted, it was very good. I'm still a bit disappointed with the travel speed of the 25 hp tractor.
The performance of the AC and the placement of the air vents is very good.
I'm still having to get used to moving my feet to switch from forward to reverse, after so many tractors with left hand power shuttle or reverser levers
moveing my foot and pressing down is a bit different, I find myself reaching up with my left hand frequently.

Lou, about ten years ago I bought a new Kubota L5740 and was shocked by how bad/hard the ride was.
Then I checked the tire air pressure. They had them around 50 pounds.
sigh.
Now R4's are rough riding to begin with, and I can see the need for lots of air for a fully loaded FEL.
Your hybrid tires should ride better and be great in snow.
if you are doing max loader work, front tires need a little more, but you have a bigger tractor for that.
beet juice everywhere, bet that will bring the ants

congrats on new Kioti

Lou, how is it running?
you are going to get spoiled by that hydrostatic trans.

Lou, how is it running?

It seems to be running good, I moved some gravel fill around with it the other day and back filled a hole in the yard. It has good visibility for the loader and the compact size does let it get into places my others have a difficult time or just can't get into. The hydrostatic trans is handy. But after several decades of clutches and power shuttles I find my hand going up for the reversing lever and my right foot looking for the clutch. The only saving grace is that I always use the brakes even with the power shuttle or reversing lever so I'm lifting my right foot to go for the brake at the same time.
The tranny works good for small gentle movements but it sure does suck up some HP.
The AC works better then most of the larger tractors AC do, the vent placement and air distribution is very good.
I'm still disappointed in it's ground speed in the driveway coming up the hill the section that pulls a full 16 degrees of grade needs to go into low range and she travels fairly slow even when maxed out in low and it's too hard on it in mid range. Possibly as it gets broke in it will do better and I may turn the fuel up after the first oil change (50 hours or a bit under).

Lou, old habits die hard. But you may be able to break the habit by holding a cold one in your left hand when operating the new CK. :)

Fascinating information LouNY. I’m waiting for delivery next week of my new CK2620 hst. Tire pressure will be my first check. Thanks. - N Idaho -

Since I can't seem to post a new thread for some reason, I figured I'd post in a fellow New Yorker's thread!

I asked my dealer about a hydraulic top link for my 2021 CK2610, and he recommended the following:

Summit Hydraulics TOP LINK Category 1 Cylinder $209.95 11” Stroke

Should I look at any others?

Thank you!

I've gotten spoiled with the quick hitch hooks on my 8050 including the quick claw top link. I would be tempted to go with something like this if the dimensions are good.
1694794469287.png

Because I expect that I'll be changing the lower lift arms from pin eyes to quick hooks sooner or later.
1694794552474.png

These are my preferences after quite a few years of messing with 3 points.

Edited to add;
I have a rope tied to the hook end of the top link, I can unlatch it, adjust to get it free, pull it off and tie off the top link. When I back up to the next implement I'll back in and lift to catch the lower hitch balls ( which stay on the implements as does the top link ball), once I have the lowers I can adjust the length of the top link till the hook will catch the top link ball. At that point my implement is captured and I can get down and lift any jack stands, hook up any hydraulics, pto (without a conventional so called quick hitch frame being in my way) or electrical and I'm ready to go to work.

Thanks Lou! I will definitely check out that set up. Any chance you can post a photo of your rig so I can get a better idea of your setup?

Sure this is on my Branson 8050 hooking up to my offset flail mower.

Backing up towards it,

You can see the hooks on the tractor and the balls that are left on the implement,

Backed in and one ball captured,
3.jpg

capturing the other lower ball, and lowering the top link hook towards the top ball,
4.jpg

Both lower balls captured and the top link ball captured,

All hooked up and time to climb out and start hooking up the pto, hydraulics, and raiseing the parking stands.

Is that a flail mower from the company in Texas? Did you get yourself a smaller Kioti for around the property stuff? Did you keep your grand Brandson?

Look at this link. Get the asked for pin-pin dimension. That dimension should be very close to what the top link is when halfway extended. That 11" stroke is going to be waaaaay long for your application. Keep in mind that you also will need to grind down the base-tractor end for width.

It's a "Victory" brand, imported I beleive a CA. company.
Yes, I picked up a little CK2620SECH this summer. My wife thought she would like a small one to maybe use so a little hydro with a cab and AC. Of course she hasn't even sat in it.
Yes, I still have and use the Branson 8050 as my primary driveway and "yard" tractor, then on top of that I picked up a NH 8160 for a backup large tractor, it's needing some work on the 3 point electronics been puttering slow on that.
And my IH 574 sits all hooked up to the pto generator for when ever it will be needed.
Lots of tractors but still too many implements to have them all hooked up and ready to go :)

Thank you very much for the info. Can you explain the "grind down the base tractor end for width?"

Std cat 1 ball swivels are 1 3/4" wide. The ball swivels that Kioti uses on that model are only like 1 1/2" wide.
A 1 3/4" wide ball swivel does not fit into the top link mount on the tractor.

How much did it set you back Lou? I'd have a hard time getting used to a hydro after years of a hydraulic shuttle.

I'm trading in one of my Cub Cadet ZTR's (M60 tank) for a used F series Kubota front mount, zero turn diesel lawnmower. My dealer just took in 2 on trades and I told him I want the best of the 2 and have Dennis go through it and replace any worn parts plus new blades and an engine oil and filter change plus a hydro oil change and filters and check the air cleaner too. Both are 2wd and both have the hydraulic deck lift. The issue with both of our Cubs (my wife has one as well is, you cannot get under low hanging trees to mow with the deck under your feet. The F series deck is out front, just like a Grasshopper. and we have a lot of trees to mow under plus, the F series has a steering wheel versus the 2 oars.

It was very expensive as far as I was concerned, the most I've ever paid for a piece of equipment it was in the high 30's.
I have an old Kubota front mount a F2000 I believe it to be an 1986 model with the 72" deck, it's a good mower.
