Will UAW Strike?

The longer the strike goes on, the more likely there will be plant closings. Those union workers will have won the battle and lost the war.

Funny seeing the top of the current administration twist like a pretzel defending unions on one hand, but pushing EV’s and the end of ICE vehicles with the other hand.

Can’t have both. The more the G_____ment pushes EV’s, the more it destroys our domestic ICE auto industry, the more taxpayer funded subsidies it needs to push towards the big 3 and the more the cost of vehicles increases.

We all know EV’s are mostly foreign parts, batteries, electronics, cobalt, lithium.

Only loser in the whole equation is the taxpayer & consumer of vehicles. (n)

The enviroment is another loser here, I believe.

This may be the sad facts.

While Toyota confuses me often this clip indicates to me they grasp they must copy Tesla.

Listening to some talk they are not talking about how they can add value by working more efficiently to increase their income.

It sounds like they want to return to the old ways/days when labor had clout before globalization changed the world order.

Only dead companies use assembly lines to build cars today. If VW is dying on the vine GM and Ford are doing like wise.

Watching the TV coverage of this strike is like going to a friend's funeral yet he's still squirming in the casket.

John Henry was a spike driving dude but he died in the end and the army of robots keep laying track better/faster than ever.

Times change but most humans prefer death over change.

The environment is another loser here, I believe.

I'm behind the unions. If it weren't for unions we might not have 5 day/8 hr work weeks. Heck, as efficient as we have become we should be at 3 day work weeks. ;)

I have 2 EV's and a diesel truck. I certainly didn't buy the EV's to "protect" the environment. I did it for the tax incentive and the fact that my electrical costs don't fluctuate like gas. Also minimal maintenance is nice. I realize my tail pipe is at the nearest coal burning power plant.

If we really want to protect the environment the US would sanction China and India to reduce their carbon emissions. The US has come a long way since the 70's in protecting the environment.

seems more and more we are our worst enemy…

The barriers to business only increase with a multitude of overlapping agencies that often cannot agree amongst themselves or even in their organizations.

I’ve seen it in my short 30 years on the medical and property management side of things…

The beauty of the American Spirit was being unleashed to sink or swim on your merits…

Hopefully more Americans will recognize that big government is not in their best interest

Well....there are always special interests.

Me, I side with the individual on this UAW issue. And not the corporate individual at that. I view the latter as part of the problem.
