I've noticed tractor data gets it wrong on these rebranded deals quite a bit.

You should email the owner, he reads and responds to every email. This is just something he runs on the side, not his day job, so it can take a few days to get a reply.

Damn, what's even holding that tractor together? Removing the hydraulic lines, linkage, and driveshaft, it doesn't look like floor pan + frame could be more than 3 inches total height!

It does look a bit sparse. I wonder if that gives problems? Has anyone checked the forums here?
Just from the one photo, it does look like an argument for adding a subframe. The service manager mentioned earlier might have a point.

As with anything, it is the history of how they are working that is most important.

Tractor brands and their internals are a moving target.

My Massey 1760 has a Shibaura motor, the 2860 has the Iseki motor, barely a dimes worth of difference beyond that. It irritates me that if I had waited 2 months I'd have gotten the 2860 but then there's nothing wrong with the 1760.

I didn't go with Mahindra based on the perception I had of them constantly switching vendors. I don't question their quality I just thought that might make getting parts/service difficult.

My other two options were of course Massey, and then Kubota as I wanted someone local who could provide service. I preferred the Massey cab over the Kubota, and my uncle had a Massey a couple of million years ago (or so it seems) so...

Who makes what anymore is difficult to tell and hard to keep up with.

I have a friend who worked at the Bradford White water heater company, he claimed they made water heaters for everyone. One day they'd be badged with this name, the next day someone else. And yet people will swear by one brand and swear at another.

^truth! Lots of appliances are made by 1 or 2 companies. Same thing with laptop computers.

It seems that some people think that a tractor company that has been in business forever, makes 100% of their own tractors and parts, doesn't form alliances or have mergers with other companies, never changes their business structure, are only made in their idea of acceptable spots on the globe, and makes an absolutely perfect tractor is the best brand to go with. The only problem with that is there is no such brand, and if there was it probably wouldn't be close being the best tractor, but it might be painted the right color.

I would be concerned about buying a model if it was made by another company and rebranded under the Mahindra name if the two companies parted ways out of concern that they may be treated as orphans by both companies when it comes to future parts support.

But I have no personal knowledge of what happened or may be happening.

Well, here is another example of a tractor Data mistake:10023-mahindra-1626.html.
Notice it states the manufacturer as Mahindra when it is so not. Mitsu makes these just as TYM makes the 2600 series for Mahindra.
I guess TD feels they must also be the manufacturer because it says "Mahindra" on the hoods of these rebranded tractors.

That is a fantastic price.

That's only $2500 more than I paid for my 3725, six and a half years ago.
