It looks like the OP slid the pto yoke onto the spline ok but the yoke casting is hitting the raised part of the bearing housing on the 8n. I would just grind down the pto yoke the small amount it would take to let it connect.
NO 8N tractor should ever be using the PTO without an over run clutch... it's just plain dumb not to for safety reasons.Put an over run clutch on there first, should fit fine, then put your mover pto shaft on. Safer too!
What I use actually and in my case it serves 2 purposes. The PTO stub as well as the drive chains on my round bailer.Most here like Eureka Fluid Film as PTO lube. I prefer wax chain lube in an aerosol can.
Interesting comment Lou.. The shaft extender I have is split with a hex cap screw so you can actually clamp it tight to the stub and eliminate any vibration / slop.Shaft extenders can cause problems with vibration and shaking of the pto shaft. If needed you can get shaft size adapters that are not extenders.
