Toyota’s $10,000 Future Pickup Truck Is Basic Transportation Perfection
The IMV 0 makes a Corolla feel like a Bentley in comparison.

I don't have heated seats or satellite radio. Am I missing something? I tried Sirius for a while but didn't care for it. This also doesn't have adaptive lane change or all of that other crap mentioned in the article, that you have to pay for so you can shut it off every time that you start the engine. The irony is that so many men pretend they'd prefer this, while whining about our $60k - $80k pickup pricing... right up until the dealer asks them if they want heated seats and satellite radio. They're only making a business of selling what folks are buying.
I think this would make a great farm or delivery truck, but I'd not want it as my only vehicle.
Like you, I turn off lane control, parking assist, auto-dimming headlights, and often even forward collision avoidance. But I do love me some heated seats and steering wheel in January, along with remote start.I don't have heated seats or satellite radio. Am I missing something?
why would you turn off auto highbeams or collision, not really sure i understand the thought process there
really? you constantly activate collision avoidance? I actually have, on purpose to see it work, if that system is constantly activating for you, I hate to say this but your driving like an idiot. you have to be EXTREMELY aggressive to get it activate/warn in 3 different brand vehicles I have tried it with.Because they are a PITA.
Highbeams: Because the F'ers continuously refuse to turn back on immediately after a car has passed me on a dark country road at 45 mph. I like to see the deer before they jump into my path, not just when they're standing in the middle of the road in front of me. They also refuse to work in twilight, waiting until full-dark to engage, and also turn themselves off at every stop or turn, no matter how dark and desolate.why would you turn off auto highbeams or collision, not really sure i understand the thought process there
I have never experienced this at all, does not sound remotely correct, wonder if this needs a dealer visit, passing on shoulders make senseCollision: It routinely slams on the brakes when I'm in no danger of hitting anything or anyone. Such as, when a car is stopped on the road ahead of me, waiting to make a left turn, and I plan to pass them on the right shoulder. Or, when approaching a stop light where the traffic dead-ahead is waiting in a left-turn lane, and through traffic is directed to the right around them. Or when going around one particular local bend, where forward collision repeatedly confuses an oncoming vehicle as a forward collision, if the timing between the two around the bend is just right. I find it works well enough in my truck, where I may be keeping greater distances or moving slower, but it routinely fails in my sports sedan, so I keep it off most of the time.
