37º this AM. Pacific storm rolling in mid week with significant rain. Will do a bit more preparation to day.
Rehabbed the RC plane yesterday, may fly tomorrow but not if it is gonna be near freezing in the AM. Ive been 2 yrs away from the hobby. Took a few hours to get the old Ultra Stik (mostly) ready to fly.

Creekfire RV resort, Savannah Georgia.
despite two hours of nonstop rain, it was a nice drive and fun to see the Spanish moss hanging down off the trees.

this place is very nice, reception area looked like a country club entrance, no wonder they charge 90 bucks for this lakeside site. I think they gave me the nicest site in here, at the end, no neighbors on one side and looking out at the water. Everything is first class here.

rv was slimed with red mud from the mile long dirt road into last campground. It dried like cement. So washed the rv when I got in.
Kind of enjoy the exercise. pretty grey out but was able to fly the drone.

the big building on the water is a local restaurant. I looked at the menu and decided what I had in the freezer was better. They had mostly burgers and I'm sure deep fried stuff. No catch of the day...

Today we too have army / Veterans day. At 11/11/1919 new made Latvian army had liberated Riga. Ok, not exactly, but this is the day we celebrate
And today it's Poland independence day, too


Tho I realized, that timber will not jump in trailer by himself. Wake up early, at 0700 was behind the wheel already. 2 1/2 hours driving.
At 1000 was in forest already. New record

At 1300 had sandwich and coffee

Actually rather productive day. Almost finished most brutally messed area
At the end, "for desert" took down 2 big spruces. That "tornado" has spared them, but I still decided to cut them, as they are 105 % ready. And I have to make some money too
Didnt measure diameter. My saw have 16" bar. Even for third 5 m long log had to make double cut. Wood absolutely clean, white. Sawmill will pay big buck for those logs
From the same area lot of smaller spruces went to pulp, because rotten inside.
Big ones was perfect 10


At 1630 had to finish.
Run out of gas and daylight ... Myself was exhausted.

2 1/2 hours driving back home.
Once I started to drive it started to rain. All the way poring rain.
Hate to drive in raining night. And a lot of cars on the road

Nice looking Yanmar Helo.

barn fires are terrible, very hot fires and the poor animals.
in the fire co, if the alarm said a barn fire, we always hustled, because if you couldn't put it out very early, likely you wouldn't put it out at all.
and adjacent structures were always an issue
lightning, barns and hay are a bad combo
