Good Morning Guys,
Ct, 19 to start going to 36 ! Clear skies and very little wind !

Worked 9 hours yesterday and fell asleep after supper for a short nap ! Wife tells me I'm too old to be working, and my reply is, it keeps me young ! I’m only working one day, and it makes me feel like an active part of society and gets me out of the house !

yesterday I had just stated that flights are going according to plan and Lufthansa announced delay

Lufthansa is the nicest airline I have ever flown ! We took it from JFK to Munich or Munchen however you might call it ! And I got to speak German to the stewards !

We are getting ready for our overnight trip, wish my wife luck !

Morning all!

Not liking this very much! Almost through a full ton of pellets already!
Definitely going to be an indoor down in the shop kinda day! Got some recognition from a world wide web site I'm on. Feels good to win something with all the talent on the site that are so much better than me!

Wife is back from her trip and we are getting back into our normal routines.

No changes medically for either of us. It appears that her voice is now permanently
damaged. My neck and fingers/toes are staying tolerable with meds. Acid reflux is acting up some. Will need to watch the diet for a bit.
The joys of getting older I guess.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…).

20.8F going into 50s, sunny day forecasted.

Woodstove did well last night, HVAC kicked on about 5:45 just about time to get up anyway, added some wood and getting toasty again.

Tuesday Mrs found a guy selling used sheets of roof tin $2/ft, so we grabbed all the 10-footers (14) and they now need to get off the roof of the subaru. So there will be a morning trip up to the woodlot, still debating on whether or not to take dogs for a walk up there too. Then some more decorating and a Christmas concert at the Performing Arts Center this evening.

Last night I put another batch of potted pork on the woodstove to cook:

It smells wonderful this morning!

$80000 bird strike. That's some expensive duck gumbo.

You should see the tools and code to make something like that. Mastercam sells a special option for turbine blades. It costs more than the basic software.

My uncle tells how they used to smash up bags of walnuts and throw them into the helicopter engines to clean the vanes when he was in Viet Nam (He got injured in Germany and medically discharged, went to work for Lear Sigler and was a field tech).

Another hour in Frankfurt. Totally during 3 days had 4 flights, 3 of them - with delay.

Anyway - I am back at home. Have to recover sleeping disorder

Not that big plans for today, have to do some office jobs, I had postponed during travel

Good morning, the low is 19 and the high to 30°F. Wind NNW 9 mph. 40% chance of flurries. Snowing right now and we got an inch overnight.

We determined last evening that we don't have a need to go to North Bay until the end of January. By that time all the Christmas lunatic drivers will either be in jail (drunk driving) or have wrecked their cars.

Today is dump/town run.

Anybody can land a big jet liner, ONCE. Funny thing about airplanes, there is no such thing as a 'forced landing' they will land all by themselves. Whether or not you walk away from the landing is another thing.

I sent some Omaha Steaks to two good friends for xmas, they were on sale.
I'm not a fan of filet mignon, not enough taste for me, but most folks like it.
they also include four hot dogs. Seems like a strange pairing.
maybe these hot dogs aren't made out of floor scrapings. I doubt it.

tried to send Amazon stuff to my sister in CA; lot of things came back more than ten days out to get there,
I chose something else that got there next week. Gives them plenty of time to lose it and still get there....

My wife did take Nexium for the acid reflux, but now takes a generic which is much more reasonable price wise ! Hopefully your wife does the same ! I think it’s Omeprazal or something like that !

I just did a QC check — it is yummy! Last time I used cumin and Mrs was not a fan, this time I used thyme and dill and I think she will like it better.

I think I've tried all the ozols. Pantaprazol currently works very well for me.
My acid reflux burned the bottom third of my vocal cords and lowered by voice.
Not good, particularly since acid burns to that area makes you more prone to cancer.
and my Dad died of esophageal cancer. Of course he smoked cigars but makes me wonder if genetically that
could be a weak area. Hopefully not, though my throat has never been right since.

plain old Tums taken preemptively works pretty well too
