Sitting still at a green light because the fool at the head of the line is fiddling with his phone or asleep.

People who sit with their nose in their phone at a traffic light after it has turned green are beyond inconsiderate, too absorbed in their own entertainment to even consider the line of people waiting behind them. When I can clearly see that a phone is the cause of the distraction/delay, I try to lay on the horn hard and long enough to maybe give them second thoughts about repeating this offense too frequently. This is not worthy of a "friendly" toot of the horn.

I think it's because "accident" implies that nobody is really at fault, which seems to be how things are these days.

A crash could mean that somebody did something wrong, which isn't acceptable anymore.

You're reading way too much into this. "Accident" just means they didn't do it on purpose.

New pet peeve: Coming up with an excellent idea for this thread while driving, but then forgetting it before I get a chance to sit down and post it.

Using your cell phone on this forum accidentally hitting the desktop version icon and being so incompetent on this and any other electronic contraption unable to switch back to mobile version. If future posts are posted in wrong threads or seem more nonsensical than previous that's why.

New pet peeve: Coming up with an excellent idea for this thread while driving, but then forgetting it before I get a chance to sit down and post it.

I'm the exact opposite... I'll have a great idea for a new thread and will start writing it... but about 1/2 way through say "This is dumb!" and delete it.

My pet peeve is er ugh um a oh shoot I forgot.

Actually my peeve yesterday is a friend who won't let me leave when I visit... after an hour visit I've said I have to go 3 times, walked to my car, got in and the friend is still telling story after story.

When backing up in the dark; especially on a rainy night like now; it's helpful to turn your headlights off to avoid reflections. Yet as soon as you do the dash lights brighten, negating the effort.
