Stupid is as stupid does. That's what I think of spending that kind of money on any act.

I read her latest concert tour grossed $2.2 Billion in North America. She averaged 72000 people per night at her concerts. Hard to believe there are enough venues that large.

That is a football game. But for one person.

It reminds me of the Yogi Berra saying —- “no one ever goes there anymore because it’s always too crowded”.

I've only been to one "big name" concert in my life... Barbara Mandrell/Lee Greenwood. I don't like crowds and they cost too darned much anyways. But I like this move by Billy Joel when he was touring...

“We now hold those tickets, and I send my road crew out to the back of the room when the audience comes in and they get people from the worst seats and bring ’em in to the front rows. This way you’ve got people in the front row that are really happy to be there, real fans.

I went to concerts all of the time.......in the 1980's.....when tickets were $20.00. The most I ever paid for a concert ticket was $600.00/ea. It was for Pavarotti. Back in the late 90's. My wife loved Pavarotti. Yep, I even put on a penguin suit and hired a limo. She was all dolled up with the "girls" on display. A memorable evening for a classy concert. Concerts like that don't exist anymore. Everyone remained seated in their seats. There was no fights that broke out in the audience. Nobody shot up the crowd. Nobody threw underwear on the stage or other unmentionables. Nobody threw cell phones at the performer and almost knocked them out when they got hit in the face. Everything now is about winky blink laser lights and 75 butts on stage being shaken in your face to music that would make the cats howl on the farmyard fence. Tell me I am wrong....

Two great inexpensive concerts for me that I recall vividly one was Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at a county fair when I lived in California yeah I probably fall into the cliche of fishin in the dark anyways next was Violent Femmes at eagles ballroom in Milwaukee. Both were smaller venues inexpensive tickets very good live performances and I was accompanied by great people. Concert Tix these days are outrageous and I have little desire to attend any concerts anymore, however maybe T S.O if my wife desires to go again.

I wouldn't mind seeing ARS again, although some of the key members are dead, now. (ARS = Atlanta Rhythm Section)

I wonder how many people even remember the Violent Femmes, let alone have been to one of their concerts.

I want you to know this will go on your permanent record! 😀
