Wow! I know the honeysuckle can be tough but, bucket teeth shouldn't do that.. Is yours the L12?

Ya its the L- 12. Bent both outer teeth about 45 degrees down from where they s'posed to be.
Dont do any good to straighten them,---they wont hold. I am not pulling that hard on them either,---engine at fast idle is all I run the motor.

Unless your welds are poor, the weakest link will likely be the carcass of your bucket.

I plan on using 3/16 x3" as a reinforcing plate across the back of the bucket and then weld the hook to that. I will be beefing up the bucket wherever needed.

Is it possible the hydraulic pressure is set too high? I would think that the bucket teeth should be incredibly tough. I have never bent or broken a tooth on the large machines, I have seen them missing on machines, so I know it happens. Just another reason to remove the teeth and make your own as dfkrug suggests.

Sposed to have been a NEW machine, BUT motor was junk when I got it,---had been used for something BEFORE it got put on the digger,--intake valve was burned full of crap and stuck open, carb was rusted shut, etc. ----meter showed 4 hours on it, course I left the master on and now shows 33! lol! ( damn junk!)---
Anyway I gotta modify some REAL teeth to put on it. I have some regular small teeth somewhere here if I can find them that I want to figure out how to make them fit this winter. Diggin days here are down to the final hours,--ground is going to start freezing in a few days.
I love the digger! --- I can do some serious damage with it in a short time! LOL!

You have a lot of criteria to consider: hydraulic power for a continuous-duty implement is a big deal that would usually need a hydraulic system with 2 or more pumps. Otherwise, your mower stops when you turn the house, drive, or lower the boom. Not really practical. Low-duty hyd implements can work fine on one-pump systems. On my tractor, I have used hydraulic chainsaws, concrete mixer, and augers.

I think you could design a mower with those limitations, but it would prob be a single blade of only 12-20 inches. You would REALLY need hyd oil cooling as well.

Well, someone asked, so they built one. Looks pretty impractical for these small minis with one pump. I see the blades hit the chains when tilted.

Can you imagine being proud of that? Chains being hit by the blade smh.. Also what is that behind the seat next to the rear glass. looks like weights? No, it can't be weights, can it?

Well, it is a start. The designer, where ever he is, needs to try it out to see how it works, then improve it. I think it could work if he went battery-electric, and used side plates instead of chains. Hyd power not practical here.

Imagine just taking one of those 80V Greenworks lawn mowers, and adapting it to the dipper....

Imagine just taking one of those 80V Greenworks lawn mowers, and adapting it to the dipper....

years ago I had a 2 cycle 20 inch push mower with aluminum deck. I loved that mower, so light and very powerful.. I cant help but think it may be possible to adapt something like that. I may still have that mower somewhere in the barn. If I remember correctly, hydraulics are not very efficient at transferring power. They are very convenient. A gearbox is more efficient.
