mighty wet here too Frits
worms are all over the place trying to get out of the water
backyard mobbed with birds likely eating the worms
street water funneling into front of property, then going down the side to make this temporary lake
my poor willow bushes are really being tested, currently underwater...

Morning all, 39 going to 41 and rain.
Have a creek next to my pool, but trench is holding up fine.
Even driveway on other side had a constant flow of water full width, but also holding fine.

Today is sons last SOR concert, so that will break up the day. Fun watching some of the new little ones getting on stage and trying out their music legs.

Got one more panel up last night, down to 4 panels left, soon to start sons closet project.
and maybe even get some more Ash planks and some fallen trees bucked and moved of the ground ever gets out of it's swampy state.
Math - 24 panels at 70 pounds each =almost 1700 pounds, why aren't my muscles bigger ?

M7040 - hope you can get your neighbor to fix the flooding, I'm sure this is getting old and super annoying for you.

Drew - can stop by and help, but no flowers please :)

Be well,

Good morning! Low of 21°, heading to 52°, sunny and light winds. No precip in the forecast until maybe the end of the week.

Didn't post yesterday... nor even read any posts....
Woke up with the start of a migraine. Tried to head it off to no avail. Haven't had one that bad in years. Auditory and photosensitivity just kicked my butt. Finally had full relief last evening.

Ken, I have no clue as to the 'type' of fig. We can't remember where it came from..... We do have a slight inkling that it's cold hardy.....

Drew, I knew that bug was going to bite you! That's a neat little greenhouse. Never saw one like that advertised at HF.

RS, sorry to hear about Missy. Always hard.

Mark, glad you got the snowblower working. Do you know what is causing the 'shaking'? Hopefully not a bent shaft.

Buppies, hope the healing goes quickly and the pain reduces even faster. itching is a good sign- healing has begun! Any insider forecast for us? These last 3 storms were a real bust.... we need moisture!

RNG, I don't think I could get a video.... I wish I could even get a picture! They are really nervous birds. The slightest movement spotted and they fly the coup! I betI couldn't even sneak out there with a ghillie suit! The count was back down to <8.
----- Funny that you posted the Estes rocket video. When I took the wifey to Hobby Lobby on Friday, I picked up a couple packs of rocket engines for the GS's set of rockets we got them for Christmas. Their's are definitely not like the video!

Deffinately more expensive than when we were kids!

Today is going to be a conserve energy day. Still don't feel 100% up to par....

Everyone have a great day!

And I’m pretty sure that they don’t shed.
Zoe is a great dog, but she does leave a reminder on anything that comes near her.
It's really getting tempting to try and find a Standard Poodle with that information.

A neighbor in Central Texas lucked out and found one at a shelter and rescued it. Great dog.

Nice bright, beautiful Sunday! Hope everyone has a great day, stay comfortable and enjoy life in the greatest country in the world. I hope that even with our usual divisions in an election year we can all remember how great our nation is and that we have to work together to keep it that way and it really takes effort but it's WORTH it!

Gosh, Ted, if my rusty memory isn't playing tricks on me again, I seem to recall that I was getting C6 engines for thirty-five cents apiece in about 1970. That's more than a 25x increase! Wonder how much of that is due to insurance and lawyers? Then again, gasoline back then was about $0.25 a gallon, and now we're paying about $5 for a gallon of regular out here...

Good Morning Guys,
Deerfield Beach, 71 to start going to 84 ! Looks like another nice sunny day before a cool front moves in tomorrow !

Last night we made a nice salad at the apartment and then ordered a meat livers pizza from Umbertos up the street then we found a vacant table at the beach and had a little picnic ! 😁

Looks like more rain is impacting the north east, so hopefully no puddles in our basement ! 🙏

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏
Way back when there was a Howard Johnson Hotel right on the beach, it was nicknamed “HoJo’s By The Sea”

Break time. Milk house bathroom shower concrete walls all down now. Time for shower number two. No more cutting or sledge hammer work. Just about 150 pounds of concrete remains to move out.

Almost time to call it quits. Dusty, dirty, heavy work all done.... 7 dust masks and 5 showers later...
