That’s a good payload. Mine something like 1950lbs, no HDPP. I know someone that bought a loaded Ram with a Cummins, payload is exactly 2000 pounds.

Oil changes every 3000 miles, although at one time they recommended you only change the oil filter every other time.

'56 SBC was the first to have a filter mounting flange on the block, the '55 265 didn't. A filter canister bolted on somewhere was an option.

I recall Dad's '49 Chev used a roll of toilet paper in its filter canister, real Old School. J.C. Whitney specialized in aftermarket options like that. Are they still around?
