I know I'm old now reading the obituaries every morning. What I don't understand is many will say (he/she) died after a courageous battle with cancer, or died at home peacefully in their sleep. Not once do they say they died kicking and screaming in pure agony.
It's always "Gone to their glory"...how can they be so sure? "Gone to their reward" is a common one except to me it would be more rewarding to still be breathing.
One said "as a child his Dad circumcised him with his pocket knife". Who writes these things? And the pictures...many look like a mugshot or was that the best they could find...like this recent one.
If I happen to read my name I'll pinch myself, otherwise I just go make coffee.
