Britt Turner, drummer for Blackberry Smoke died from a brain tumor. He was 57.

I saw this band a few years ago at the local district fair and they were a solid.
They are just starting to play the band up here. Or maybe I'm just starting to notice them. Either way they sound good.
57 is WAY too young.

I looked up the archive and it was 2017 when I saw them. A musician friend had told me about them a few years earlier.

CJ Snare, singer for Firehouse dead at 64. Stage IV colon cancer. I saw them many years ago in a club about an hour from me. Very solid show for such a small venue. I was going to see them at an area fair last year but didn't go at the last minute. FIREHOUSE Singer CJ SNARE Dead At 64

Remember when he hitched his wagon to Cher's, that didn't last long

I miss the Spectrum. Looking back all these years later, I don't know if it really was the best concert venue ever built, or if we just loved it because of all the memories. It was a great size for a concert, and man... that place rocked when a band lit it up.

I never knew Dickey and Cher were a thing. I know Greg married Cher but never knew about Dick.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about Greg only.
Yeah to bad about Dickie, he's got several albums of his own out that are fantastic also.
One is "highway calls" ??
It's a little difficult to search as I think some are under Richard Betts.
Check it out.
Y'all will probably laugh, but in the last couple of months I've gotten into "spotify" for listening. Lord knows that you rarely hear anything good on the radio these days. I gave up years ago for music despite the genre on the radio and was listening to talk radio.
It's nice to have convenient music back in my life!
