What did you buy this week?

Spring maintenance time. I bought a new 6 volt battery, for my Ford 8n tractor, an oil filter and 2 gallons of 15W-40 for my JD 4120, a 12 volt 250 CCA battery for one of my lawn tractors, and a maintenance kit (2 quarts 10W-30, oil, air, gas filters, and spark plug)for the other one.

I’m kind of thankful that rain is predicted for (9) of the next (10) days because I have plenty to do in my shop before I go outside and put those tractors to use.

Yeah, same here. I don't have a heated shop and I don't like wrenching on things in a cold shop so I'll be doing this too with the warmer weather.

Nice Truck! I have the 03 2500 Dodge 5.9 Replaced
the water pump, new brakes, intake heater, just purchased a new tube type air intake with filter and the
ecm? had to purchase a new alternator and 2 batteries
and a voltage regulator. approx 148,000 miles. I refuse to pay over $100,000 for a new diesel. For the tractor
purchased a post hole digger. Also found out we now
we have a Yanmar & Duetz tractor dealer in San Angelo, TX.

We just had a Yanmar dealer open up in Denton too. They used to be a John Deere and Cub Cadet dealer. I drove by the other day and saw only red on the lot. I'll have to stop and look at them. Yanmar makes some great stuff.

A new golf cart. My old one decided to roast itself.

It was a 48v electric and not on the charger. It had been sitting overnight and woke me with a ‘boom’, a tire exploding I suspect. Thankfully only minor damage to my house.

No fear of a repeat?

The new cart, at least so far, stays parked at least fifty feet from the house. And I upped the insurance coverage. Scary event.

To anyone unaware, homeowners insurance may cover items such as four wheelers, golf carts, or even tractors but there may be limits on their amount. I was lucky, barely.

Now you need to park your gas powered car in the garage or near the house so you have something to get you to the electric vehicle that is parked at a safe distance.
That sounds environmentally friendly.
In some cities people aren't allowed to bring their electric scooters into their apartments because of the increased fire risk.
All that fire smoke is so much better than that nasty exhaust pipe.(y)

I know its to late to check it out, but I know two people that had their tractors catch fire because of mice chewing on the hot wires.
One lost the garage in the fire.
The insurance man called me about the value of the tractor.
I always throw some de-con around the corners of my shop and under the shelves to prevent those little critters from chewing up our toys and machines.

Im glad no one got hurt and that you had insurance:)

You had a hot machine there! Its a good thing that you
didn't park it closer to the house

Curious if that burnt up Yamaha had lithium batteries in it? Thermal runaway is a real danger with some compositions. Like early laptop and cellphone batteries.
