Not at all. Nano-Borate is a cleaning additive the cleans an engine internally of deposits left behind from multi grade synthetic lubricants as well as it emulsifies sludge in the oil pan and anywhere else it may accumulate from the constant heat and cool cycles associated with the engine operating parameters.. If you look inside any modern engine that is on a diet of multi-grade synthetic oil, you will observe a bronze colored sheen (deposit) on the interior surfaces. When using Nano- Borate as an oil additive, there is no deposits at all. In fact, last time I had the valve covers off my diesel pickup to replace the injection harness, there was nothing on the heads or in the valve covers at 100K miles. Just as clean inside as when it was new. Same thing with my Kubota M9's. I had them both in the shop last summer for an overhead valve adjustment and when Dennis pulled the valve covers, there was nothing on the top of the head or in the valve covers, no sludge, no varnish and no bronze tint with is always indicative of what transpires when you use a multi grade synthetic oil, which I do (Rotella T6 5-40). It ain't cheap but it works and no I'm not a fan of snake oils at all. In fact that is the only additive I use and I use it in ALL my internal combustion engines, air cooled and water cooled. Call it 'snake oil' if you want, don't much care. All I know is it works and has been working for me for years.snake oil?
