Rain ??? - Heck, I'm just glad that storm yesterday wasn't snow. Daybreak temps here - 32F. I just hope the hummers have built warm nests up in my old pine trees. The poor wildflowers almost die every morning.
Nope. Texans don't expect our gov to solve every problem we face. Nor do our govs make such promises. As soon as Abbot fixes your excess rain condition.
Eric
Definitely crazy Tx weather....as usual. Seems like storms last night kind of split plus they took paths that kept varying. Friday night we got 3". N. Tx tornado's Saturday night. Now excessive heat warnings plusWe had an EF1 on the other side of Tyler from where I’m at, on the other side of Lake Palestine. Probably a 45 minute drive from my place. When I first decided to look at Tyler before moving here, I stayed at the RV Park that was destroyed that’s on the lake.
The great N.W. is some of the prettiest country I've ever seen. Hope you get some rain soon.Well - I guess - summer has arrived. It's been dryer than a popcorn fart for the last two weeks. My Davis weather station is stuck at 6.80 inches of rain. That's since Jan 1, 2024.
The other day I went out to give the Taco Wagon its annual wax job. No rain but enough thunder/lightning - Brownie and I retreated to the house.
Long ago - lightning struck one of the gigantic pines - quite near the house. I saw the aftermath. A spiral burned path down the pine. All the way to the ground. The "sound" - so darn loud I was momentarily deafened. A very visible, lasting impression.
I get that. Besides, you and HayDude and a couple of others on TBN are big wheels in hay/alfalfaMichigan is fine with me because we own so much land here. At one time, Amy and I were looking at ranches in Texas but the land won't support the hay I grow here.
