no one is mowing at top speeds of 11-12 mph that zero turns can reach. If they say they are, I challenge their honesty

I cut at full speed here all the time. A ZTR with full suspension will allow that. When cutting all the mower is doing is just soaking up the bumps and transmits very little to the operator. Full suspension and the weight of a big mower does that. Ever ride a good suspension side by side ? The big ones have giant shocks to absorb the bumps at speed. That allows you to travel faster on a bumpy trail than anyone else. Hence the reason for full suspension on a ZTR. And in control I'll add too. Not just flying along out of control.

I have a full suspension Ferris as well. I'm not mowing at full speed though. To each their own!

Same. I scrape mine every January, when I do the mower maintenance. Those last mowings in November are often damp, into evening. Hard on the deck, but it's all my schedule has allowed most of the last 15 years.

Same.
I no longer wash the underside of my deck. I always have a few piles of wood chips around. Just drive over them and the chips clean the deck whisle clean.

I'll run ours over pine needles... I'd guess it helps but far below 100%.

Mine doesn't cut up pine needles much, but pine cones? Those should clean up the deck just fine.

I've never mowed or mulched leaves and we have a ton of mature trees. I just them all blow down the road into my farm field.
Can't do that here. Only so many will blow away. If you don't pick them up, they'll kill the lawn. Too many to mulch as well.

Living in an urban area has distinct disadvantages I guess...

Out here we let the wind move them.

trust me, by the time the snow flies, you will think it's a chore. Like getting a new car, once the newness wears off, it's the same old stuff.
