New fob with programing is about $400.
The retailer who sold us the auto we are not happy with because of the FOB shortage but this Bronco itself we are very, very happy with.Great fuel mileage and operator comfort.
I'm surprised Ford has not had a lawsuit against them with there oil change intervals they recommend. The turbos on the ecoboost motors need clean oil for them. Going over that can be hard on them keeping them cool I heard. Did not know about camshaft failure. Good to know.Just passing on what my BIL told me and he knows being one of the design engineers on that platform. Myself, I have no desire to own one, only way I would would be the full sized edition and they are way out of my realm of cost versus value anyway. I figure my wife's Suburban LTZ (off lease as well) will suffice for us for a long time. Don't get good fuel mileage but then it's a tank anyway and I don't fuel it, she does. Here lately with fuel prices, it's sets her back almost a C note to fill it up.... and it's getting worse, not better. On the other hand, my Focus RS takes about 11 gallons from dead empty and gets about 40 mpg and being the cheapskate I am, that works for me. Least Fords figured out than a pilot injector in the intake tract eliminates the inherent GDI issues, that is, a dry intake tract will build carbon deposits around the intake valve causing internal engine issues if not cleaned regularly. I use Sea Foam cleaner at every oil change, injected directly into the intake tract post MAF sensor. It works just fine actually.
