36F right now-- in June!! Going to 75F today and sunny.

Hard to believe in June, but areas here are under a frost warning.

New pup Rigby is wearing me out-- I have forgotten how a puppy is either 100% full bore energy, or completely crashed out for a nap and oblivious the world. To her credit, my wife is taking the major brunt (or having the major fun?) so I'm letting her sleep in this morning while he chews on me ....

Everyone have a great day !!!!

brief visit with audiologist, 3100 for their best hearing aid for one ear.
I ordered one for 170 from Amazon two days ago. Says it does the same thing. Of course it doesn't but will see if it
is good enough before I pay 3k for the pro model.
my 80 dollar noise cancelling headphones, over the ear types, do a great job for me.
there have no cure for me, only a matter of reducing symptoms. They say the fancier model injects a curing
tone
. Really?.............

now headed out to unscrew my front storm door, Ken is coming over this afternoon to help me install new one.

Good morning, up late today. Temp now in North Bay is 74 and going to a high of 90°F, here it is 107 in the sun. I wont get a shady temp until this afternoon when the sun gets to the west. Wind S 9 mph. 40% chance of showers.

I just came in from my tanning session. Two cats wanted out. They will be wanting in, in a couple of hours and sleep all day in the basement.

I am not sure what I will be getting into today. I've got lots to keep me busy once I find my get up and go.

Have a safe day all

hope they do ok
I see several nice rv campgrounds nearby, bet some folks are heading out earlier than expected

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 4:45AM back here in Yankee Hill. Sunshine to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High 91F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
The Red Flag Warning continues until noon today. There are large wildfires burning across the state, the nearest having grown to over 4,000 acres yesterday. I passed through Marysville, CA on the way home yesterday where I found several streets blocked off due to a fire in an old and abandoned hotel building. That led to a miles long traffic jam that took a half hour to work through. No other problems on the trip, and there was still plenty of time to get the rental trailer checked in.

I was awakened at about 2:30AM by scratching sounds on the bedroom floor. They didn't stop when I turned on a light, which revealed a Jerusalem Cricket scampering for cover. It got squished and flushed. Sure wish I could figure out how they get into the house, but at least I didn't step on it in my bare feet.

Plenty to keep me busy in the way of repairs and packing. Need to move a large milling machine next trip south, and I have a new control valve to install and program on the water softener. Also need to get some junk moved out from under the office trailer so I can move it away from the house to where a buyer can easily hitch up to it. That'll probably be job 1 for today.
First time I saw those crickets was on my first work trip to LA, they look so weird with those smooth round heads.
The hotel was really old and could not find anyone to restore it, shame though.

For us the crickets get under the track in the sliding glass door, so when you open it, the "pop" in.
Also, had a tiny , baby one on my pants leg the other day when I came in.
Amazing how they always seem to find a way.

I went thru the same diagnosis with my right ear. Bought the Costco hearing aids. Just wear the left one when going to places where there is a lot of noise. Seems to be the best option without breaking the bank. I have never tried noise canceling while driving. But always wear ear protection when around noisy equipment.

lawn crew here with weedeaters, killing time before they leave, can't handle that noise outside.

so I worked on my rv trip in the Southwest. Made sure I marked Winslow AZ on it, because of course I want to take a pic
there. If anyone can suggest any stops, say for lunch along the way, along this route, I'm all ears.

After I see Ted in Albuquerque I head North to see family in Colorado and will stop at Indian museum on way up.
Very cool I can use Google maps to zoom in and see if parking lot big enough for rv, which it is.

I redid the mapping to show the terrain. Found that very helpful, though pretty sure upcoming mountain ranges will be easily seen far away.
I'm amazed at all the Indian reservations.

we stayed in Winslow back when US66 was going right through town. Remember the truck changed gears right outside the hotel room all night. Not much sleep but we enjoyed the area and the sights around there

A drive thru painted desert and petrified forest would be nice. These 2 parks are connected together.
Near Santa Fe we stayed at a COE park. Cochiti Lake. The COE parks are 1/2 price if you have a National Park Pass. View from our campsite. The sites
in this area are drive thru.
