Echo 2511T is an amazing saw!

A person should never pick one of those CS-2511 Top Handle's up. I just bought an Echo CS-25llTN. It comes with the Oregon 80TL Nano Chain, designed specifically for small saws. It cuts like crazy, and doesn't have the chatter of the stock chain. I want to get 3 or 4 tanks of gas through it, and then add the Eagan Header Pipe.
This thing is crazy light and I can't wait to break it in and add a performance pipe.

Sounds like Echo listened! I did the Stihl picco conversion on mine, so much better than the stock 3/8” chain. Sounds like that’s what Echo is doing stock now?

Yup. The CS-2511TN is only $10 more than the model with a 3/8" low profile chain.

Didn’t need the 500i at all.

I must be boring, I don’t think I ever “modded“ a saw. A few trucks, sure, but if a saw can’t do what I want it to do off the shelf, then what’s the use in buying the dang thing?

I DO like the airbox mods that trap more dirt, or improve the suspension….

I would definitely take a Snellerized 500i that is crazy snappy response

I'm skeptical. That's an awfully small saw. And for 5 bills?

Compare it to the Stihl top handle at 700 clams and it's a cheap date. They don't 'breathe' well stock but the addition of a 30 buck ported muffler and they really go to town. I now have 3 Echo's, the CS top handle, the Timber Bear and a Echo brush trimmer. I run canned gas in all of mine, Echo Red Armor, 50-1.

Menards has bar oil on sale this week, $5.99 a gallon mine the 100% rebate. Hard to beat the warranty too. 5 years consumer.

It works great on the rear handle version, the power improvement is significant. It is louder than stock but I always wear hearing protection.
