We had .95” rain before midnight, and .63” sometime after midnight. We needed it.
Mostly, nice eggs, uniform size.

78 outside this AM, heading to the 90's. No rain here again yesterday, north of us. Maybe this afternoon, we could use it.

Spent most of the day yesterday running around shopping. Wife is out of the picture, not feeling well. She stayed home. Then after unpacking went to play pick up sticks and clean up fence lines. Nice and hot so it required a few trips to the pool. I noted some areas of the "grass lands" are so burned out there is literally dirt/ground showing. Even some weeds have had it so far this summer, they too are wilting.

Not sure what I will get into today, but it is past time for morning chores.

Vt, 68 to start going into the 80’s ! Very humid with on and off showers until this afternoon and then it looks to be clearing out !

Need to make a dump run this morning! After that we will play it by ear. Kathleen says we need more maple syrup , my neighbor up the road didn’t make it last year, he will this year but need to find some now !

I am also thinking along the same lines as Thomas, need a bit more cord wood put up !

Good morning, 75 going to 90 today. The thunderstorm last night was pretty dramatic. Lot of lightning close by and intense rain storm. The lightning that took out our phone looked like a big fire ball and LOUD as heck. Looked like the pond had overflowed during the night but normal this morning. The ground being this dry absorbed it mostly

grey and humid outside, should break for a little bit then storms.
They are now firing up in the Delaware Bay and off NJ shore.
I turn on the lightning indicator which lets you know gentle rain or storm

after getting all nice and clean, headed out to plant flowers landlady brought over last week.
I didn't need them but of course found a spot for them. Until I start new garden beds, what I have are
now filled up after three years here.

I like to garden on Sunday mornings. Helped me feel grounded.

Good morning
71° now, cloudy with thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid/upper 80’s and humid. Winds SW 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Could use some rain, don’t need the wind.

Spent most of yesterday walking the trimmer around and more weeding in the garden. We also seem to have a bumper crop of Bittersweet vines, Virginia creeper and poison ivy this year.

Today is going to be a conserve energy day.

Good morning! 76˚ S wind heading into the upper 90's, very dry.

Oiled the Garage doors yesterday, programed my truck home button to open the garage door, and hung a towel rack and picture. Took a load to Goodwill.

Will see what else I can knock out after church, too many pending project to mention and I loose my morning coolness today.

Isn't maple syrup season in March or April? Highland County, our big maple syrup county, has a big festival in mid-March. Its nickname is Little Switzerland.

Costco sells a great jug of maple syrup, if he doesn't have any.

Good morning
75° high of 85. Grey and chance of thunderstorms throughout the day.

Yesterday was grey all day, and pretty windy. About the only progress on the old folks home was to police the area with a magnet sweeper and collect about 2lbs of nails. I’m collecting all the material and getting ready to do the plumbing, but so far only staging.

Had a nice visit with an old friend that was in town for a wedding. She lives in Atlanta, but runs a sailboat charter company in the Caribbean.

Stopped by my neighbors winery for their grand opening and had a nice visit there as well.

I did get the smoker ready to fire, but didn’t prep the meat or get it loaded. Hopefully I’ll do that later today for an overnight session.

The last wave of storms didn’t miss us, we got 1-1/4” of badly needed rain.

Today I might mow, or start installing the boiler, maybe even both, doesn’t look like a a good day to fly the little plane to lunch, that will help with productivity.
