Good morning all,
63° now, highs in the mid 70’s, dew points in the mid 50’s, winds N 10-15 mph with a mix of sun/clouds today. Should be a nice outside day.

Yesterday all the thunder storms broke up and went around us, not a bad thing but could still use some rain.

Yesterdays energy conservation went well, spent most of the day on the couch with an ice pack because I’m to stubborn to stop doing something because of a little muscle pain. When weed whacking Saturday I felt a little twinge (groin muscle) but was almost finished so kept going. Doesn’t feel too bad this morning but I think another energy conservation day is in order. I do need to water the garden this morning but that doesn’t require much effort. At one time the garden was all set up with drip irrigation controlled by a micro plc and zoned by various solenoid valves so all you had to do was hit the on button. In a previous life I designed, built and programmed control enclosures for industrial waste water filtration systems.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

64 outside this AM. Nice and cool. Heading to upper 70's today. No rain, none last night with the front that passed through. At least the oppressive humidity is out of here for a few days. The 100+ heat indexes were a little much to deal with. Just walking one would break out a sweat.

Hope all have a great start to the work week. Be safe.

Good Morning
75° and sunny with a nice breeze, a high of 75 is called for.

Yesterday we had a few showers pass by later in the day. I was able to get open areas mowed with the Progressive mower. It was very humid outside, made me really appreciative of the climate controlled cab.

After putting the tractor away, I ran out for a sheet of plywood for the boiler room wall, cut it to size and painted it.

Then it started to bug me that I hadn’t painted the wall where I mounted the radiant heat manifolds, so I hung them from the ceiling so that I could paint behind them.

I ordered a Bryant Evolution heat pump and air handler along with thermostats and zone controls, my buddy dropped the boiler off as well.

Never did get to firing up the smoker, that will definitely happen later today.

Today list includes mowing with the Lazer, putting up the plywood in the boiler room and putting the manifolds back on the wall, hanging the boiler on the wall, Costco run, firing up the smoker, starting the inspection on the little plane, and whatever else pops up.

I doubt that I’ll be bored.

Good Morning,
Vt, 56 to start going to 72 with some clouds now but clearing out later ! Our guests are leaving today and then maybe I can get some weed wacking done ! Kathleen Will probably want to do a cruise on the boat later !

was looking at a Blackstone griddle. Friend had one and loved it, said food was juicier
Drew, my youngest son has one, very nice unit, I think it would be great for liver bacon and onions, or possibly minute steaks with onions ! I just don’t know that I would use it enough for it to be really worth it for me ! And if I really thought I needed it I can go down the street and use his ! 😂

Hope all have a good start to the week on this Monday morning ! 🙏

A quick pic of the ash throated flycatcher chicks. The nest is getting really small for 4 chicks. Hope no-one falls out!
That's a great pix-- thanks!

Friday was interesting. Early am, noticed the irrigation vacuum breaker had sprung a substantial leak. Never ever before had one fail-- but oh well. Drove to HD, bought a replacement (Febco) unit, and installed it. New unit was defective-- water blew out the side port. Drove back and exchanged for another new (Febco) unit. 2nd unit was worse-- water blew out of every port. (???) Returned it for refund. Drove to plumbing supply house, bought a Zurn/Wilkins brand, installed it, and it works fine. Honestly-- ???

Just finished that, and I hear new pup Rigby screaming with wife holding him. Oh no. Off to Vet emergency-- they removed 3 foxtails from his ear. One punctured the eardrum but that will heal in a week. After that he will be back to 100%. He's on antibiotics "just in case." Quite a Friday.

Spent Sat/Sun building a temporary fence around the back lawn to keep him out of the pasture. It's good sized with all his toys inside-- so it should be a safe and fun place to be. No more vet trips!! 😀

Here's the little guy in the vet office ...

Everyone have a great day !!!

good Monday morning all
should be a nice day, sunny with high of 80.
off early to dentist, have multiple issues, as usual.
when that's done, need to take used oil to local gas station, get them to dump it, so I have
room to change rv engine oil. Then back home to do that.

new Fiskars garden spade was delivered yesterday, one designed for edging gardens.
If I use the weedeater it does a very rough job and throws mulch everywhere. So perhaps later I'll work
my way around the gardens and give them a haircut on the edges.

Ron, after about two hours, my right foot is swollen and unhappy. Then I start looking for sit down time.
I hope yours improves.

made some progress on Wegovy. Blue Cross "approved" my prescription, so the nonsensical list price of 1600 for four shots is
discounted down to $785 from their earlier quote of $980. My next step is to see if Wegovy will enroll me in their low income
buy direct plan, hopefully cutting the last price in half. Will see, my income is low enough likely to qualify.

was looking at a Blackstone griddle. Friend had one and loved it, said food was juicier.
who has one and do you like it? Too big for rv, would have to stay at home next to Weber.
We have a Blackstone 22" that travels with the camper, Drew. I love it. It's all we use when camping. Burgers, hot dogs, Steaks, Pizza, veggies, cheesesteaks, shrimp fried rice, pork chops, just to name a few of the things I've cooked on it.
If I hadn't just bought a new Weber for the deck at home I'm pretty sure I would have a 36" Blackstone instead.
They do make a 17" model that may work for you. And, mine conveniently fits where the case of water is sitting when stored
