71F and clear @ 22:00, heading down to around 70F for the overnight low.
Decent day, was pretty warm out there this afternoon ... high was 88.7F.
Got a couple of bills scheduled for payment first thing.
Checked the bag on the Japanese Beetle trap out front, still not full. Will give it another day.
Got the Lock-N-Lube coupler installed on the grease gun and moved it out front to grease the loader.
Dispatched The Woman down to Harbor Freight for a garden hose quick coupler set.
Given the heat, I decided to spend some time in the shade in front of the garage planting some more seeds:
Woman worked on her petunias.
Got the aquarium stand leveled and the board for the top shelf put on and put the 4 square pots with now-trimmed petunias on the shelf.
At that point the Kubota was mostly in shade so I greased the loader. Lock-N-Lube worked great ...
Cleaned off the loader valve and was able to isolate the leaking fitting - a 1/4" female flat face coupler. Swapped it out with another one I had retrieved from the shop and Volia ! ... no more leak at the loader valve ...
Also cleaned/degreased the motor for the Hamilton Beach blender.
Moved the Kubota out the way and hooked up the dump cart to the Cub.
Loaded up the pots with seeds in them and got them moved around back to the shelves and got them watered.
Woman had broiled up some brats and baked a couple of potatoes so I stopped for dinner.
After that I got the rest of the green beans planted.
Final bean count was:
42 Cherokee Yellow Wax Beans
123 Slenderette Green Beans
Then watered the summer squash I planted the other day.
After that I took the watering can and watered all the holes where I had planted beans ... just to make sure they didn't dry out.
Once that was done I ran up to the shop and locked up up there.
Emptied out the phosphoric acid out of the Hudson hand sprayer and rinsed it out after I got back down to the house.
Time for an iced cream bar on the couch.
Hope everyone had a great day ...
