Did you get the left or right hand drive?
This will make a huge difference in loader work.
Don't forget to keep the muffler bearings fully lubricated. Many owners don't and it is a really expensive repair.
A rub of bacon fat will really help the paint stay bright and fresh.

But... really take it slow and no question is stupid if you aren't sure about something.
Mistakes can be expensive, dangerous and unfortunately fatal.

Don't carry riders!
Little kids love to go for a ride. They also squirm and slip.
They don't bounce or handle getting run over well.

The dealer/delivery person should've gone over most of this stuff when they brought it out. You did that with the cars you sold, right (here's the blinker, here's how the radio works, etc...)?

Yes, I went over the features with my customers. One time I did not do that because the customer was in a hurry and told me not to worry about it, he'd give me a good survey.

Of course he called the dealership a couple of hours later to complain he couldn't figure out how to roll the windows back up. The buttons were the type where you had to use your finger to pull the button up.

So I got called back to come in and show him how things work. He did tell the manager he told me he didn't have time when he left to do it.

I probably took me around 50 hours of use before I found myself really comfortable with my first tractor.

I have 4500+ (not a typo) on my bx and still learn things all the time. After 400+ hours on the LS I understand how it reacts to most things but still. Always finding new things to try and/or do.

Congrats on the new LS. Also a common thing we new tractor owners do is do all too often. It's a tractor, not a skidsteer, be careful on not put too much force on the front end loader when trying to break ground etc. A cutting edge is much preferred, if you need to cut into sod or hard packed dirt. And do it in layers instead of big chunks.......but I'm sure the manual mentions this?

I can't recall anything in the manual about that. It is poorly written IMHO, I got halfway through again today but chores called. I think I'm going to keep the box blade mounted, plus I have fluid in the tires, to use for added ballast until I get a ballast box. Wondering what you and others advise about this.

Yes, ballast is perhaps more important than HP in most cases. But the power you've got to the ground.

Looks like LS may have beefed up the brush guard a little since the xr4000 series. Two things to be mindful of on it, some welded on expanded metal is extremely useful for protecting the radiator/front grill/hood if you'll be loading branches & other sharp pokey things in the bucket or you get a grapple. AND, the old-style brush guards were very susceptible to bending at the attachment base plate. Don't use the brush guard to push/pull, & be mindful of wedging anything between it and the bucket or you could bend the base plate.

And here I thought you were just making stuff up but with the picture I believe. Today’s newspaper pictured with you in it next to the tractor would make me a true believer though. I joke but that’s a nice looking machine, a great size and they are only that shiny once.

I hate to point out something in your picture already but there are colored caps for the hydraulic disconnects for your loader. Those will plug into each other so they stay clean if you take your loader off and need them. They will plug into the disconnected lines.

I bought a ballast box from Deere. Stupid price but I’m a Deere stock holder so think somehow I’m breaking even?

Yes, ballast box is a good investment. Fill it with crap and run around the property. Good decision.
