Thanks I'm sure feeling it now. My arms and legs look like I've been mauled by a pack of cats
there's something about clearing out brush that is satisfying.
Haven't heard yet how much my brother got done mowing today at the farm, but he mowed 4 hrs, so expect it's about all finished.

Had a busy day today. The front of our property by the street is covered up with vines, saplings, and briers.

We've been wanting to clear it out. So over the past couple days I've widdled it down.

Easy way I found to clear it was to back the tractor up to it, toss a chain through the mess. Wrap the chain around it and cinch it tight so I could reach the saplings with the chain saw. Then drag the mess out.

Used the pallet forks to haul the mess to the burn pile.

Well we did finally get some rain, 0.05” between last night and this morning lol, it was raining while watering the garden so I just kept going anyway. Sun came out late morning and yikes the H’s took hold. Weeded a little bit of the garden and only took about 20 minutes before the Mrs made a statement to the effect of “are you just plain stupid” yep apparently so. Rest of day feet up and AC.

Scotty, those sure are nice saw horses!
Much nicer than the cinder blocks I use to hold up the dining room table.😁

I had gotten half of it done over 2 days. Day one I was battling a flat tire on the tractor and lost time repoing my air compressor from my son in law

Aired it up and it was flat within 20 minutes. So, to the store for a bottle of slime.

Filled it with slime, rolled the tire around several times, and then aired it back up.

It's been holding ever since.

Day 2 it hit 100° so I played out about 11:30 and hibernated in the ac the rest of the day.

Today, it hit 92° but had a nice breeze. So I went out and tackled the rest of it. Dragged all the crud out, brush hogged it the best I could. Then picked up a bunch of saplings I cut down the other day on the other side of the driveway.

Brush hogged that and finished about 4pm.

I got a brush pile about 40ft round and 10ft tall from all the vines.

So if ya'll see a glow in the night's sky in a couple weeks, it's just me

Managed to catch one of the girls out there. There's about 30 out there right now.

do you have a metal detector? I can lend you one but I think
it only works on pop tabs...

Yes, I have a Garrett that is best for finding pop tops, but I also have a Metrotech utility locator that is very accurate and gives depth as well. It requires an inductive clamp around the wire, (can be in a conduit) or conductive pipe or tubing. Most underground non-conductive utilities like fiber optic have a tracer tape with them so you can locate them.

can't help with the cars.
but I'm looking for a portable table saw for ripping. narrowing :ROFLMAO: it down to:
Skil TS6307 w/ folding stand $300,
Skil SPT99-11 with wheels stand $650,
Dewalt 7491RS with wheel stand $629,

any other good choices?
Check out the Rigid saw.....

Very happy with mine. Accurate fence, plenty of power, nice adjustments.
If you're looking at slightly larger, they make "contractor" series too, around the $500 mark.

In addition, the Rigid saws have the lifetime service warranty. It's real, I've used it for 4 different tools. 3 were my fault, but they fixed no charge! Even batteries are warrantied.

Not much done on the home front.....
still didn't get the trim on the awnings. Didn't piddle with anything else either!

Took the wifey to the hairdresser this morning (must keep wifey happy). Then went back out grocery shopping.
By the time we got home, too hot to go outside (even though humidity is only 15%).... I would never be able to handle the humidity you guys have anymore. But, I do remember those days!

Max enjoyed his 'car ride'. He did get a 'magic window' treat for being a good boy. I swear he was sulking last night because he didn't get anything from the 'magic window'.

Scott, you could use them for rustic dining table legs.... nice job!

Good Evening Ken,

Ken , when your used to a 5 hp Unisaw with a 52” unifence, anything less seems like a severe downgrade!! 😉

Couple sunset pics for days end ! 🙏❤️
