Better choice for the summer tractor parade?
Especially old ones!

I have always had a thing for old garden tractors. I have owned many. I use to have a JD 318 that I wish I had never sold. May get another one day. I would like to get into restoring these old ones....

I bought my first ZT last summer when I bought my new home. I have roughly 4 acres of yard to mow. I can honestly say I absolutely hate my ZT and hate mowing my yard now, when I use to love to mow yards. The absolute game changer for me is that I can no longer drink beer and mow. That is the single biggest downfall to owning a ZT. 😢
I could do that with my ZT if I had a desire to. I only use my right hand while mowing with my ZT mower with a joystick.

Yes, I know that some ZT's have a stick or a wheel - I was giving my experience with my ZT. My brother-in-law has a stick controlled ZT. Wasn't a fan of it. But I do like the CC with the wheel. I may eventually move over to it as my neighbor has one and loves it.

I have shoulder problems, developed from a mix of injuries and hand-splitting too much firewood with a maul, over the years. The traditional ZT controls do sometimes aggravate my shoulders during a long mowing session, and so I can imagine why some might like those joystick jobs, although I’ve never tried one myself.

I like the steering wheel CC, but there is quite a bit of "sawing at the wheel" to drive it. I'm thinking of putting a cheater knob on my wheel to make it more "one-hand" friendly.

I said I drink beer while mowing. YOU are the one who assumed that meant I was drunk off my a$$ doing so. You also went on to make assumptions that since I enjoy to drink beer while I am at home on my OWN property, that I am most likely out driving drunk on public roads. Not to mention you continued it further by suggesting I could possibly "take others out" on my own way out... I'm a grown man perfectly capable of judging what is and isn't safe for me and mine.

I have seen a few times people criticize you for your behavior here and I can absolutely see why. Hopefully, I too can make your ignore list. I don't need people like you judging me from delusional assumptions...
Buh Bye!

It’s funny that he actually believes any of us care to be notified every time he adds someone to his ignore list.

It takes all kinds…
Agreed! He seems pretty immature to be honest.

Dealership near my new house used to carry Country Clipper, most models available in twin stick or joystick, same price. Those with prior twin stick experience usually preferred the twin stick. Those without twin stick experience usually preferred the joystick.

Country Clipper had a hard time getting through COVID, was high quality but premium priced, so he no longer sells Country Clipper but not before I got one.
