The ford video was interesting.
96 deg out, deck temp 123deg, trex sample is 133deg.

water softener tank dropped 7" for the last regen. Will keep an eye on it so it doesn't keep adding water like it has been.

swapped buckets catching the condensate drain outside. 2 gallons since yesterday.

only code on the geothermal is it's not performing well. loop water is not getting very much cooler.

downstairs unit doing OK.

made the yearly property tax payment, so will be eating hot dogs for awhile..

water softener tank full again. this getting frustrating. has to be either rotor, seals , or both, guess i'll replace the seals now.....

The AC is still not cooling as it should. Got it checked by 2 more advanced techs and they think it is the blower motor on the evaporator. It pulses and goes up and down in rpms but not nearly fast enough. They will call Mitsubishi tech support tomorrow to confirm their suspicions

They also recommend cleaning the evaporator and blower wheel. Should be done yearly they say. Seems that is something I can do

It works but not enough to cool it down so installed a window unit to help out while this gets sorted out

Looks like Sophie will be cleared for surgery p. Had a problem with her white coat blood pressure, never got a good reading.
Dr suggested we start monitoring at home.
So ordered this

Another Prime special. His only guidance was to get upper arm cuff. Anyone here care to comment?

RNG, not only do I use environment Canada but I also use The Weather Channel & Ryan Hall, Y'all.
Our winter nasty weather comes from Western Canada and also mostly from Colorado. Summer nasty stuff usually comes up the Mississippi River valley and then swings easterly. Ryan Hall gives me the advance warning I need. Anything that hits Marquette MI usually hits me, too. I am about 40 miles south of Marquette and as the crow flies 388 miles east.

They left for the day garage temp 96. They have just have a little trim work to do and door handles to put on. Over 230 sq ft of storage space added to garage. Finishing up tomorrow and then I can organize and load them up.

While they were doing the installation I was busy chipping away rock on the hearth room fireplace in order to remove the glass to clean. It was apparent this was the first clean in since it was built. It took me 4 hours to chip away the obstruction rock so we could pull the glass panel up and out.

The pool looks too good to pass up. Water temp is 90, going to turn the spa on for sore shoulders from all of that chipping with s hammer.

Thanks for the info on the extenders. Do the wifi extenders extend your current signal or are they a new router?
The TP-Link system hooks up to the ISP's cable modem, and I disabled the WiFi network on the cable modem so that the TP-Link nodes handle all WiFi in and out of the house.

WiFi extenders typically halve the speed of the link with every hop, while mesh node speeds are only degraded by intervening material, same as an extender.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.4C and it's presently 12.7C mostly clear with a moderate, with the odd gust, wind. There was 1.5mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Tuesday morning is senior morning at supermarket, only 5% off but something
... which is why Wednesday is 'into town' day for me. Senior's Shopping, all day, for a 5% discount. I do need to get a few scripts at the Chemist too.

I also need to start the process of applying for the Old Age Pension which, for me, starts at age 67. I'm months away from this occurring and I won't get anymore money as my Military pension will be reduced by the amount of the OAP, but I want to ensure that it's a smooth transition. Especially as the 'change' will happen during a holiday period (31 Dec).

The best thing about it is that I'll finally get a Government Pensioner Card, which will mean a lot of discounts. Especially electricity.

That's about it, take care all.

Oh, and L4N, I'm reminded of an adage; "You only need a licence if you're caught." 😁

Yes, upper arm gives a better reading, more accurate.

Successful day shopping, got everything on the list, plus a few things jumped into the cart when I wasn't looking.....

$513 at Costco, $278 at Shamrock Foods. I think it was the highest amount I ever paid at either place.

But, the freezer is now stocked. If I tried really hard, I might be able to fit 2 packs of hot dogs in there..... not kidding.....

Getting ready for the 21 y/o GS to come back for his last semester at the university. Boy, the last 3 years flew by.... can't believe he is going to graduate already!

BIL had another PET scan.... he lit up like a Christmas tree. He met with the oncologist today, starting him on 2 different / new chemo drugs tomorrow, radiation on Thursday. Metastasized everywhere. He hasn't given up, which is a very good thing.

Drama should begin shortly.....
