Because those tattoos sure look good after someone ages a bit. Not. 😟
they get the tat at age 18 slender weight.
40 years later with wrinkles that were never there before, an additional 40-100lbs and the fact nobody will remember what was so important way back then now you've got something more appropriate to The Twilight Zone.

Exactly. I remember my father in law’s military tattoos. They just looked like ink stains on his arms.

I remember the travel ad where the wife sees her husbands combo-over blow up and envisions a cockatiel bird, next thing you know they are on a Hawaiian vacation  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Hey you know you are old if your remember a 5 cent stamp. The Forever stamp goes up a record amount to $.73 tomorrow. Forever going up! Thanks again Joe
I think you're mistaken, Joe doesn't run, nor in any way control what the USPS does. Louis DeJoy, a Trump appointee does. According to a friend that works there, he doesn't do a very good job.

What about that a Swedish dishwasher and I thought they were all made in China now.
She is not made in China, she is made in my dreams, again and again. However, she never comes home with me, so the dream continues.

As well, my 1997 Ford F250 truck doesn't really need A/C. The vents keep it cool enough plus the upright windshield cuts down on heat from the sun.
Those had wing vents on the windows, correct? So cool. My 1999 does not.

Yes they do and those vent windows is where the magic happens. The slant of the windshield also makes a huge difference. I remember getting a 1994 Corolla when I lived in Maine and it was a "wind tunnel" designed car with sloped windshield.

It had no A/C because we're in Maine but the sun made that car so hot it was intolerable. I ditched it and went back to a pickup.

My 1997 F250 A/C was low on freon when I bought it but it really isn't needed. it was 90 and humid the other day and a trip to a store was neither hot or uncomfortable in that truck.

Can't comment on Mr. DeJoy's qualifications, but if I'm not mistaken there is considerable congressional meddling in the operation of the USPS. The postmaster general doesn't exactly have a free hand to run the organization.

Inflation raises the cost of everything. The current Administration has caused and supported inflation, hence my remark. Does not surprise me in the least this goes over the top of the left wing supporters.

I don't need to open the wing windows. I just put the controls on vent and add a little heat if needed. When I need more I put it on A/C and enjoy the cool air on my face without freezing my hands like when I'm driving the CTS-V or the Jeep.

All maybe true, but other than the old adage of gaining wisdom with age, this has nothing to do with "you know you're old when". Let's try to keep the politics out of it.

My original post was about a 5 cent stamp now being $.73 as an example of the inflation we've seen recently. I will try to keep politics out of my reaction to a devastated economy, but it is difficult

Yea, I was hoping to be able to build a faster-than light vehicle or a "Tardis".
Looking doubtful.

But then my dear Dad taught me to get the projects done so they solved the problem. We and my Grandfather built a nice modern duplex virtually by ourselves. About the only thing hired out was the excavation. Took about a year from start to move in. Took my Dad about 10 years to finish putting in the back porch light.

If that's the case, I've been old since I was 12. :D

Time was that large landowners didn't care where you camped on their land, although there were laws about fires.
One weekend I wanted to get away after working 2 jobs, 7days/ week all summer so I drove into the woods, found a side road and drove about 2 miles down that until I found an opening. By sunset I had my tent pitched and was cooking supper on a Coleman stove when I saw headlights. Pretty soon a big land barge appeared pulled in right beside me and parked. They never even got out, just moved into the camper section. All night long I heard them walking around in that thing. The next morning I packed up and went home... so much for my quiet weekend.

Growing up our neighbor had 2,500 acres in Virginia and he said we're welcome to go wherever we want.

I miss those old floor vents in vehicles. Yeah, I know everything's air conditioned now, but personally I prefer the vents.
I recall getting a face full of dirt from the floor vents when first opened at speed. Now the little triangle side vent windows were great.

I liked and miss both the floor vents and the vent window, that floor vent would bring in cooler air for your legs, and the vent window when opened all the way would give you a good stream of air across your face and upper body.

Yup, been that way since I was about 6 or 8 when my parents finally allowed me to sleep outside in the backyard (about an acre) in the summer in a tent.
But that only lasted a few years, then it was tenting wherever I wanted.
/but that was rural Vermont, virtually kid safe for a big kid.
