Yes, it hit here this morning around 5 am. Lots of thunder and lightning, then heavy rain. By 8am, it was gone and we had another 2 inches. That brings us to just over 6 inches in three days.
We had 2" too. Probably more if the wind wasn't blowing stuff sideways!

Yesterday - heavy cloud cover - booming thunder - NO rain. Ten day forecast says hot weather and no rain. This may be the beginning of summer.

Yall gonna laugh about this. It's been close to 3 weeks since rain. Anyways last night, walked down to get trash cans, and said to myself, guess I should draw a rain turtle, so I do. Anyways, get home, and we got like 0.5" during the day.

In La. that would be called voodoo. In Fla. I'd guess turtledoo ? Whatever, it seemed to work!

We had our two weeks of miserable hot weather. Now we could sure use some rain.

Huh - a rain turtle. I might just try that.

I think the fires in Oregon are keeping the rain away.

We've had 3-5" over the past 72 hours. The forecast is for 80-90% chance every day until Monday. Monday it drops down to 60%

Odd week for rain here in East Texas. It's rained every day this week, and it's supposed to continue into the weekend. Our high temp the other day was 78 degrees!!! Weather guy just said today that historically, today is the highest yearly temp for our area at 96, but we wont even get into the 90's this week. I'm at 1 1/2 inches so far this week.

Past 3-4 weeks, we have been getting a decent amount, maybe 3"/week, over the coarse of 3-5 afternoon storms pwr week.

This is a cool video on a baseball field I'm working on. The video starts towards the end of a 2" rainfall event. The 2 inches came down in about an hour. It is a time lapse of 3 hours. Although the water backed up on the field a good bit, it was all off about 2 hours after the rain stopped, which is very good.

@Complete Turf Care Neat video!

Is the water draining to the left, or percolating in?

All the best,

Peter
It's draining to the right side of the video, which is the third base corner of the field (or left field). The camera is mounted on the foul pole.

Same here. Not sure when to cut cause it's green and still growing....and wet. Next week is supposed to be back to normal. Dry, hot & hot.

It’s been wonderful in East Texas. Last year there was two months of no rain

Still no rain here. However - the miserable heat has abated for now. It's 4:55 AM and 42F outside. AND - no smoke.

The last couple days have been, more or less, typical summer weather for us here. Night and early morning is quite cool - mid day and early evening will be in the mid 80's.

And, unfortunately, little to no rain.

I could happily deal with that as summer temps for the rest of my life. Spent the better portion of my career working and outside in FL's never ending summer conditions. Finally moved to NW GA to be able to experience some semblance of 4 seasons. Still have to deal with brutal high temps+humidity, but at least it's generally relegated to mostly to July-August.

The last two weeks here have been unseasonably wet with heavy rain, or at a minimum over-cast conditions every day. We're normally pretty much bone dry July through October. The rain has been a nice change and makes me wish Fall would get here all the sooner.... even though I probably could bale hay off my yard right now.
