In case any RV owners are interested, here is my motorhome refrig modified to a 12v compressor unit. The new 12v compressors draw less power than the old ones did.

The factory Norcold refrig was terrible. So I replaced the "guts" on the back of it-- converting from ammonia / absorption to electric 12V. DIY.

Here is a link to my refer-- but the company offers many models.

Bill, I love those boxes of Scott Towels, they seem to last a long time ! Great for oil changes and grease jobs!
They make good disposable plates for sandwiches and cookies as well as Kleenex and toilet paper when you are caught out in the bush.

buppies, it might be time to fashion a lockable container for the tools. It might be closing the barn door after the horse has left but it is better than supplying the thieves with any more tools.

plowhog, judging by the size of your pups feet by this time next year you can put a saddle on him. ;)

Good Morning RNG,
Wouldn't need any of 'em if people stopped stealing. But crime pays, up to $1000 here, at least. They don't even bother to arrest 'em until they steal more than that. And that's why all the expensive stuff at HD is now in locked cages
RNG Isn’t that the sad truth !

Plowhog, I have a Dometic in my five year old rv, runs on propane or 120VAC.
So far it has been flawless. I have had Norcolds before, none broke, glad I was lucky
My ac unit is Dometic also. It was a factor in my picking this used class C.
If Norcold will provide the kit, that makes a lot of sense for you, they have done the engineering, not you
and Rube Goldberg.

DC fridges seem unaffected by angle of operation vs my type which apparently gets unhappy when tilted
too much. It always seems counterintuitive to hear a thwump of the propane lighting off, to get something to freeze.

are DC fridges inherently more reliable, less complex?
larger motorhomes have all gone "residential" and run their gens all the time I guess.

DC makes wonderful sense for boondocking.

BEF, let me know how that huge cantaloupe tastes.
We are still eating on the first one we cut, was a little under ripe, but was getting holes in it, so we cut it. Yes Drew, We have given most of the cantalopes away. They all come at the same time.

of walking around this place.

Got my grass seed today, the fertilizer should be in tomorrow along with a case of Scotts shop towels.

Today was a good day, power nap at noon and you tube all day. On the seventh day He rested and that is exactly what I did.

🙏
I also like the boxes of Scott towels. I had a spare box on the shelve over the winter, went to get it last week and as soon as I moved it, it started to move also.
A red squirrel had chewed a corner of the box and got inside and chewed and crapped on almost every single towel I pulled out. Took that box and the squirrel that I had stomped on as we were both jumping around (hard on an old man) out to my burn spot with some used motor oil and cremated the whole box of towels. Now I need to get another box of them.
Damned squirrel in addition to costing a box of towels almost gave me a heart attack when came scrambling out of the box and up my arm before jumping to the floor.

Wife is interested in seeing Suzy Bogguss, she's playing in august at Sellersville Theater. course her show in Annapolis MD will be a lot closer. :ROFLMAO:
something last night made me start to go thru and list all the concerts we've been to. Got a list of 40 so far, not to mention small local groups. Next one we have tickets for is Beach Boy(s) (only 1 left). I have seen them more than once, but only have pics from 1983. Back in the 80s and 90s, most concerts did not allow cameras. Now with cell phones, that policy is gone. I have ticket stubs for quite a few of them.
Alabama at least 5 times, including getting to meet them backstage, and have autographed guitars from them.
