96” land plane suggestions?

My Kubota with FEL, grapple, RimGuard in the rear tires, R1 tires all around and 1000+ rear blade - weighs a tad over 10,000 pounds.

I have quite a few places on my property where multiple, shallow passes are the best way to go. The idea is to work the soil - not break the equipment.

You have a good time with your new implement.

Our LS land plane was purchased without scarifiers and am glad I didn't
get them as this unit works well without them.

Willy - not needing scarifiers - you are fortunate. The surface of my mile long driveway - gravel, sand, silt & volcanic ash. It turns to concrete during the summer.

Even my heavy Rhino rear blade has trouble breaking this crust. I need something that will break this crust. I can then move into repair of pot holes and my one muddy section.

Sometimes I really do envy those with the beautiful screened gravel driveways. But not from the standpoint of cost.

My vote is for a BEFCO. I just bought a 72" to pull behind my SA425 and it has no problems with it at all. The BEFCO was almost #200lb more than the competing Frontier model and other name brands. I have a 60" Frontier (Bought last year) also and the BEFCO does a better job IMO.

Your tractor will handle a 96" fine. My tractor with loaded tires and loader is under #3k lbs.

Your tractor with loader is probably close to #5,500lbs more than twice the weight and HP than mine. If your tires are loaded, over #6k eas

I am spoiled with excellent loamy topsoil and cheap limestone quarries 20 miles away.

Well - my topsoil isn't so bad - where I have some. Common joke around here - watch out for guys coming with a pickup truck. They will steal all the topsoil you have on your 80 acres.

The one good thing. If I need a solid base for a foundation - don't have to go far until I encounter solid, basaltic lava bedrock.
