LS MT225S - Chainsaw scabbard

I'm not about to pay the exorbitant prices for a chain saw scabbard when this is available. Just got to remember that it's there.

that's great if you never use your grapple while your cutting.

No need to pay high prices for a scabbard either. I have made them out of wood and scrap metal. In fact I have never paid even $1 for the things I made them from.

Using the plastic cutting board is the real genius of this project. Ive got my next project... for after the last next project I didn't get done lol

Very well built scabbard! This is not me being critical, just giving my honest opinion. I don't love the placement. Visibility towards the front of a tractor is challenging enough without a huge chainsaw in the way. I hung mine from the ROPS behind the seat to overcome this issue. Thought I had a picture, but I can't find it.

I used an HDPE cutting board half inch thick for the scabbard section and 1/8" x 1.5" angle iron for the bolt on frame.
Looks good.

If you load the CS the other way around, won't it clear the loader when you raise it?

Not a lot of places to store a chainsaw on a tractor. I have a box on top of my hood, but you have to bungee it down. Scabbard is better.

I used the same HDPE plastic for my ATV scabbard, but I salvaged it from a burst water tank. Would love to see pix of what can be done with custom-formed PVC pipe.

Not the perfect spot for a chainsaw but I use the ROPS for my small electric saw.
