Morning all! Currently 64 and raining.
Been keeping busy at the apartment and here in the yard.
Neighbor down the street gave me a 5 foot long Maple branch that fell in his yard. I made him a lighthouse thank you gift.

A day or so later I got a bunch more planed and dried maple from the chair factory. I used some of that to do my take on the 1965 tv show lost in space.

I hollowed out the inside and will try to add led lights if I can find what I want.
Out visiting today so will be low key type of day..
First visit to the hearing aid store tomorrow. Not sure what that entails. I know it will screw up my morning as it's at 9:30.

Need to walk the string trimmer and get the yard done if it ever dries up. Rain in the forecast for the next 4 days. I wish it would go to you guys that need it!

Enough rambling for one post! Hope everyone stays safe and healthy! I'm off for coffee number two.

Good morning, the low is 66 and going to a high of 68°F. Wind NE 5 mph. Mist right now and changing to rain & T-storms later today. 2 to 3.5" expected according to the heavy rainfall warning. I think I can wave goodby to my grass seed.

Trike can wait another day.

Ron, I see your Cardinal is getting its' colour back.

We lost power a couple of times during supper yesterday, you know those flickers that are murder on your electronics. I call their outage line as soon as it flickers once. I've lost too many things to their unreliable monopoly over the years. Everything electronic is now on a surge protector, but why should it be? If hydro was RELIABLE then we wouldn't need all these surge protectors. We in Ontario have only ONE choice if we want to be 'on the grid'. If we don't get our juice from Hydro One (the old Ontario Hydro), then we do without.
EVERY hydro electric dam in Ontario that I know of has been bought out by Hydro One and decommissioned. Other than the equipment to generate the juice the propulsion system is free, rivers. But no, they went with nuc plants instead and now are scrambling to find waste sites to store the used up nucs.
That is my rant for today.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
71° and grey outside. High in the low 80’s with chance of rain this afternoon. We got less than 1/10” yesterday here, although I saw plenty of rain yesterday on my trip from Long Island to the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Had a nice lunch at the Moose Jackson Cafe in Iron Mountain, but no pasty. Was a long day, left the house at 5am got home at 9pm.
But the dry wall crew was busy while I was gone. Son texted me some pictures.

They got it all hung, coming back tomorrow to start finishing it.
I connected the thermostats and fired up the AC to lower the humidity, it’s 66 in there now.

Today, I hope to get some time in on the little plane, I need to get it finished, as it sure makes the commute a lot faster.
Also have to turn the propane tank back on. I got a message yesterday that the generator failed to exercise. Duhh, that will happen when the fuel is turned off.

Popgadget, I forgot if I asked you this, but are you going to have a big ceiling fan up there, since that's a pretty tall ceiling?
my friends just got one where the blade is a spitting image of a wooden plane propeller. Every time I see it I think of you.

I have an 18v Makita that makes over 1200 lb ft of torque. It either loosens or breaks off what ever I have tried it on.

I’m sure that Milwaukee and others have an equivalent if you don’t have any Makita tools.
