Morning all! Currently 64 and raining.
Been keeping busy at the apartment and here in the yard.
Neighbor down the street gave me a 5 foot long Maple branch that fell in his yard. I made him a lighthouse thank you gift.
IMG_9082.jpg

A day or so later I got a bunch more planed and dried maple from the chair factory. I used some of that to do my take on the 1965 tv show lost in space.

I hollowed out the inside and will try to add led lights if I can find what I want.
Out visiting today so will be low key type of day..
First visit to the hearing aid store tomorrow. Not sure what that entails. I know it will screw up my morning as it's at 9:30.

Need to walk the string trimmer and get the yard done if it ever dries up. Rain in the forecast for the next 4 days. I wish it would go to you guys that need it!

Enough rambling for one post! Hope everyone stays safe and healthy! I'm off for coffee number two.

Phil, your creations are a treat to look at.
you combine both imagination and craftsmanship

Good morning, the low is 66 and going to a high of 68°F. Wind NE 5 mph. Mist right now and changing to rain & T-storms later today. 2 to 3.5" expected according to the heavy rainfall warning. I think I can wave goodby to my grass seed.

Trike can wait another day.

Ron, I see your Cardinal is getting its' colour back.

We lost power a couple of times during supper yesterday, you know those flickers that are murder on your electronics. I call their outage line as soon as it flickers once. I've lost too many things to their unreliable monopoly over the years. Everything electronic is now on a surge protector, but why should it be? If hydro was RELIABLE then we wouldn't need all these surge protectors. We in Ontario have only ONE choice if we want to be 'on the grid'. If we don't get our juice from Hydro One (the old Ontario Hydro), then we do without.
EVERY hydro electric dam in Ontario that I know of has been bought out by Hydro One and decommissioned. Other than the equipment to generate the juice the propulsion system is free, rivers. But no, they went with nuc plants instead and now are scrambling to find waste sites to store the used up nucs.
That is my rant for today.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
71° and grey outside. High in the low 80’s with chance of rain this afternoon. We got less than 1/10” yesterday here, although I saw plenty of rain yesterday on my trip from Long Island to the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Had a nice lunch at the Moose Jackson Cafe in Iron Mountain, but no pasty. Was a long day, left the house at 5am got home at 9pm.
But the dry wall crew was busy while I was gone. Son texted me some pictures.

They got it all hung, coming back tomorrow to start finishing it.
I connected the thermostats and fired up the AC to lower the humidity, it’s 66 in there now.

Today, I hope to get some time in on the little plane, I need to get it finished, as it sure makes the commute a lot faster.
Also have to turn the propane tank back on. I got a message yesterday that the generator failed to exercise. Duhh, that will happen when the fuel is turned off.

Popgadget, I forgot if I asked you this, but are you going to have a big ceiling fan up there, since that's a pretty tall ceiling?
my friends just got one where the blade is a spitting image of a wooden plane propeller. Every time I see it I think of you.

I have an 18v Makita that makes over 1200 lb ft of torque. It either loosens or breaks off what ever I have tried it on.

I’m sure that Milwaukee and others have an equivalent if you don’t have any Makita tools.

Couple pics of Sophie !
Great pix of Sophie! They grow so fast.

Yesterday I wrote that pup Rigby practiced his "protective bark" on a buck and some turkeys. All 32lbs of him must not be too fearsome since shortly thereafter they all appeared together for a photo!!

Nice weather here-- starting to transition into Fall and it's very welcome after all the heat.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good morning,
63° now highs in the low 70’s and light rain and cloudy today. Winds SE 5-10 mph, dew points in the mid 60’s.

Spent a little time in the garden yesterday cleaning things up. Picked a bunch of tomatoes and cukes and crookneck squash yesterday. Pole beans are finally getting big enough to pick in the next few days. We got a late start on the garden this year and the weather hasn’t been the most cooperative but overall not a bad year.

Plans for today, replace the monitor on the wife’s desktop computer and clean up the desk it and everything else is piled on. That’s about it for today, raining pretty good now.

Really enjoying the pics of all the cars, tractors, animals (wild and pets), gardens/projects and home building. Thanks to all. 👍👍👍

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

if you are using an extension on the impact wrench try to just use the socket on it to improve torque. If still not getting it do it the old fashion way by extensions on regular sockets or wrenches. Next cut it off or buy a better impact

good morning, 72 going to 83 with rain in FC later on

Bought extra set of filters for the Mitsubishi wall unit as well as the optional clip in enzyme filters. Cleaned and washed the old ones to use for weekly replacement. Simple and easy. Will see if this will keep it more clean.

Did some more trimming behind the barn before it goes into seeds back there

Drew, yes she was rescued with help from police that showed up really quick. Multiple lanes full of traffic and no emergency lanes. I avoid going down there as much as possible. The Potomac bridges are always congested. I like my rural driving with lots of space to the next car but down there they push and cut in if leaving space. Glad not having to go to the airport often using the beltway and Parkway. Been there done that

retrieved my weedeater from a friend's house, she was sick and we didn't get within 20 feet of each other.

Then to supermarket and continued stocking up on rv trip food, all frozen food. Finding if I get rid of cardboard packaging
and put in zip lock baggies, can save a lot of room, get the air out.
thick and muggy out
forecast now says two to three inches of rain this afternoon, and there's almost nothing on the radar.
maybe all the mugginess outside will simply turn to pop up storms

two for one on strawberries today, several brands, once again Wish Brands had unhappy strawberries inside.
other brand, not Driscoll, was much better and had a different floral taste. Maybe I should freeze what I can't eat right away.

headed out in a little bit to clean inside of rv

Morning all, 75 going to 83 and partly cloudy.
Pool party wasn't so much pool, but at least it was only a drizzle or two during the day.
Most of the people showed up and some neighbors, we just did food inside and people took it outside under the umbrellas.
Got most everything cleaned up by 11pm and son and friends wandered off to someone else's house for a sleepover.

My Jeep GC had the radiator replaced at about 10 years, along with the water pump and hoses.

May head over to the grange fair for a bit before the big rains.

be well,
