Good Morning
59°, 79% RH, high of 70, clear sky and gentle breeze. All the ingredients for a really nice day to be outside.

Yesterday was humid and grey but not that hot or much rain.
The drywall finishers were a no show, but the masons have the chimney above the roof.

I spent a good paper of the day dealing with paperwork (computer work actually) for the TSA and the FAA drug and alcohol abatement offices. That is absolutely the worst part of my “job”.

Today I should be out mowing once it dries up a bit. Running machinery on a beautiful day should cancel out yesterday. I still need to get back to the little plane and get that back on line, but I think I need a day outside first.

good morning, 58 going to 72 beautiful day

Rain showers yesterday stopped the mowing plans but today should be a good day for it. Decided to order a hard hat with built in blue tooth and noise canceling technology. Being safe should be priority

Picking up groceries and prescription today

Good morning,
58° now highs in the upper 60’s mix of sun/clouds and a possible shower. Dew points stay in the low 50’s. Yesterday gave us another 0.59” rain.

Plans for today include the start of rearranging the garden supplies to a spot where they won’t interfere with snow removal this winter lol. If I start this now I might be finished before November 😂. When it dries up a bit mowing will need to be done, probably not today.

Mostly - ambition showed up when I took a deep breath and forced myself out of my chair. Every now and then I need a couple of days to just chill, usually when the air quality drops so does my get up and go.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Morning all, 62 going to 72 and feels chilly, sun is up.

I spent last evening draining the solar, replacing the motor cartridge and refilling and pressurizing the system with new antifreeze. However the pump is not starting. So I ordered a capacitor to see if that will get it to restart, they don't go often, but.....

Don I hope the surgery goes perfect and it fixes your shoulder for far into the future.

Off to see Springsteen tomorrow night, not my favorite, but son has really wanted to go. This was from the canceled/moved show last year.

Be well,

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 4:00AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 94F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
They are supposed to go retrieve it today. She called multiple towing companies.....
The cheapest was $814, most expensive $945. Ridiculous prices! highway robbery !
Maybe she could rent a pickup truck and car hauler trailer from U-Haul for the day. Probably less than $100.
With the trike I get the sensation that I am leaning to the left. I think it is the seat that is the culprit. Any thoughts on that?
Any chance you're fighting a crown in the center of the road by subconsciously leaning to the left?

Yesterday was the first business day for the new rules on real estate commissions, and my video feeds blew up with all sorts of hot air from realtors defending their outrageous commissions. I think a lot more buyers will be looking for DIY or on line help buying properties, not sure it'll have much effect on sellers. Glad I won't be ready to put this place on the market until after the dust has time to settle.

Neighbor up the hill came down to look at a tree that's leaning badly over the end of the driveway up at the cul de sac. It's been leaning a little more year by year, and when, not if, it comes down, it'll take out the gate. The neighbor showed little interest in taking it down himself, but didn't mind if I got some help to take it down myself. Another neighbor, the one with the giant backhoe, has already volunteered when he gets the chance. Just as long as it gets done before the winter rains soften up the ground.

Got the last of the fence rails installed, but still need a few straps to completely finish. No sense making a special trip to the hardware store, so I'll get a start on painting the wood portions today. The pipe I used has a nice even coat of rust on it, so it'll stay unpainted. I beveled the ends of the three new wooden posts to 120°, and they'll get a coat of paint to seal them. But I think I'll just leave the brown stain unpainted and save some work.

Three people said they wanted firewood yesterday, only one showed up at the end of the day. They took four pallets, three of which I had to end load on their trailer and slide toward the front to fit them all. Not good for the plastic pallets, but I got 'er done. If the other folks come through, I'll be out of firewood by the end of the week and can get ads up for the shipping container.

Drew, I measure my gold by the fractions of a gram.

RNG, that is a distinct possibility. I dug up my level, one of the three I own, and will check it out today before I go to the dump. I need to raise the seat some more anyway. When I am at the top of the pedal stroke my upper leg is level. With my butt on the seat the ball of my foot is on the ground instead of my tippy toes. Ya, I got long legs. 34" inseam makes for a 35.5" leg assuming 1.5" gap between the pant cuff and the floor.

Good Morning,
Ct, 56 to start going to 69 ! Sun is out and humidity gone ! 😀

Ken, thanks for all the great pictures!

Don good luck with shoulder surgery !

I went down to my favorite Toro dealer and bought myself a new Zero Turn ! I will either replace or rebuild the motor on the Wheel Horse over the winter or sell it ! Just tired of playing with it to get it to run ! And the grass will not wait for a rebuild now ! I have had very good luck with Toro products !

We have many roads shut down in the area ! State DOT saying it could be months before some roads are restored!

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Good morning! Low of 58°, going up to 92°, sunny.
Some rain chances are on the horizon.... maybe on Friday/ Saturday.

Fritz, YOU'RE THE WINNER! I normally follow the KISS principle, but for some reason (probably the past severity of abuse), went right to the "major" level of repair.....
Not the case.... new radiator cap was the fix! Up to full temp, loaded it with a test drive up and down the hills....reservoir went from cold mark to hot mark.... no boiling! YEA!
Definitely need to flush the whole system for sure! Coolant is very dirty.

The string trimmer heads were also delivered!

Fingers crossed that the run of issues is over with...

Everyone have a great day!
