EV owners of today and tomorrow

Slightly switching gears here. It may have been discussed before, but have any of you been following Edison Motors? It's a couple younger truckers that are building electric big trucks with onboard generators, just like a diesel electric locomotive. But, they can be run all electric without the generator running and/or can be charged by shore power. It's a really good idea to me. He's got lots of videos to scroll around on.

Oh not only do you want all EV customers to have exactly the same financial advantages as you ( house with high amp charger in garage, you also want to tell us how to type our responses. Arrogance problems ? Hmmm

Do they have a 120V AC outlet? Then yes.

Do you worry if they have a gasoline tank and dispenser? No. My Granddad did.


My latest F-150 oil change took just under 90 minutes with two engineers working on it.

Drain is in center at end of the engine.

4x4 is not high enough to get under without ramps.

Then there is a pan that has to be removed, (4) machine screws which are over 1" long so an electric ratchet, impact, or screwdriver is prudent.

Now the thing is high enough oil splashes everywhere unless the drain pain is raised. I found an old trailer tire works well for this task.

Then put everything away after.

My Prius oil changes were much faster. And the Subaru as well, once I put the Fumoto valve on it. The Subaru had a similar splashing problem when the large drain bolt was removed.

Oh, and BTW, note what a properly formatted reply looks like.

So you pick to purchase the rare vehicles that you are not able to do oil changes, that's your poor choice, my GMC truck is simple 15 minute, as are majority, or bring it to quick lube place for 20 minute change. Oh by the way this is a reply that doesn't digress for multiple paragraphs with verbal diarrhea like yours ......

These conversation come from no where, aren't going anywhere, it's two polarized closes minded group of people saying words but no one is licensing...I was on my way and like to be, I was just stopping by to see if this one was any different since your initial intention was good it derailed ratter quickly... I was simply pointing it out.

That oil change on your F150 sounds like a nightmare. I've never encountered that craziness.
Dumb dumbs with no EV experience commenting on EV ownership have no clue that with a Tesla software updates (aka "recalls" by EV haters) are completed while you are parked at your house. And I'm not worried if my honeybunch or myself forgot to charge the Tesla before a long trip (hasn't happened yet) since there a plenty of superchargers.
I am so glad that I jettisoned half of my ICE vehicles for superior EV cars. I wish I could have done it sooner as the convenience is worth all the gold in the world, as is increase in my superiority complex.

I would be curious of the % of EV owners that still own an ICE. I'm not against ICE as I have one for a purpose.
What I don't like is people making negative comments about EV's without any personal knowledge of owning and operating one.
I'm not concerned about my EV self combusting any more than I'm worried about my ICE doing the same.

About 100% if they own a tractor.

Find out who always derails these EV threads. Iceheads who can't stand that EV owners are happy with their choices.

We’ve been through this false misleading claim here before.
Tesla has only a couple models, so all their total sales get split across just those couple vehicles. Makes it look better than it actually is.

Traditional car companies produce many different models so their production numbers get split many more ways.
You can accurately say Tesla produces the best selling single model. Saying they produce the best selling “products”, as you did, is false.
Toyota seems to have the best selling products just glancing at the top 10

Yes I’ve been in a Tesla and in ludicrous mode it truely lived up to that title. Unfortunately they don’t have a vehicle that can do what I need a vehicle to do. If I was looking for 0-70mph times it’s the way to go.

"Been in" is a good start.
