ok I am officially coming off the block. the shoulder is a bit sore and I can do all my homework exercises un-assisted, all fingers except thumb has feeling again and I can squeeze the rubber ball so it looks smashed - could not do that this morning. I can do the beer mug raise lift un assisted (without the weight of the mug or beer). yea!
just took one pain pill (half prescribed dose) before the hurt gets out of hand. total time of honeymoon pain block 19.5 hours. too bad I was awake all but one hour this morning.

Kyle we got the Giddings paper with the football players pictures. Which number is you son? in JV?
Giddings V is playing right down the street in Jarrell and was temped to go before the block wore off.

Good Evening,
We got to our new home on the beach about 5, a little late but at least we didn’t overlap our boys unloading their vehicles!

Really nice place, but very restrictive on what is allowed etc !

A couple of pics !
No midnight skinny dipping?

Took Mother in Law out for her 80th bday. Went to German restaurant.
Then went to wife’s sister’s camper they live in, which was close. They sued and won against manufacturer of their previous camper over defects, and have another new one. Huge.

62.8 high of 91 today mid 90s Wednesday maybe high heat index. Went to funeral home yesterday employee who worked for us over 20 years died he will be buried today. He caught Covid then pneumonia 77 years old going to miss him great sense of humor
Sorry about your friend's passing. Prayers.

Oh, I wish I had it on video. Wngsprd-- what snake is that?

Rigby earned a "Novice Trick Dog Title" ribbon. He is not enrolled in that class, but twice we have let him watch the other dogs from the sidelines to give him positive exposure around other dogs.

Yesterday, half the class participants did not show. So, the instructor let us into the arena so he could try out the obstacles and challenges. To our surprise he was succeeding at each one without any practice-- we are guessing it was from watching the other dogs from the sidelines and then copying that?

The instructor noticed and said: "wait a minute." She brought out the final exam scoresheet, ran him through about 8 of the challenges, and said he passed the course. Even though he was not enrolled and it will be another 2 weeks before he completes basic puppy obedience. LOL. That was fun, but more important, we are appreciative the instructors and staff have taken extra steps to help break down his fear around other dogs. It is working and he is now having fun with other dogs and pups.

So, I now have a dog that is more polished and accomplished than me! 😄
Everyone have a great day !!!
Congrats Rigby! Those sharp toenails will be great for digging under that fence! (run a hot wire just inside about 4" above the ground)....

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light wind, sky became mostly cloudy, and high temp was 95ºF, HI 100ºF. Humidity was higher today, and forecast to stay up through early next week. 6 days of rain and 1 inch total accumulation also in the forecast. Made coffee to start day, then off to Grief share, Bike ride, then productivity fell off. Trying to work through some things said at Grief Share. Did get nap in.
Prayers mostly.

good morning, 80 going to 94 today much warmer

A bit of good news yesterday when D9 visited. Earlier in the day she took GD to Johns Hopkins for check up on her autoimmune illness and the blood platelets were within acceptable limits and only two infusions per year going forward. D9 also wanted to come out and help splitting an stacking firewood

The backup alarms from neighbors property are back this morning. How much can you do to a 5 acre piece of land? Seems like a good size dozer would have this done in a short period of time.

Maybe a good day for a drive around the property on the RTV to check for trees down
Glad GD immune system is better.
I had a nice home in a new neighborhood. The city bought the big piece of land behind me. They built a huge highschool which was very noisy....for over a year. I was a 2nd shift employee at the time and the noise woke me up every morning... THEN, when they finished the school, of course the marching band had to practice the big bass drums right behind my home, everyday at 7 in the morning before and during football season. It sounded like one of those cars with 15" speakers. And they played the same song....over and over and over and over and over again. Never would have thought a high school would be such a noisy neighbor...Once I got on dayshift it was better. I believe a mom with 2 young kids complained to the school about the bass drums, as they seemed to subside.

I was tempted to sell lit cigarettes through a knot hole in the fence to the dudes in PE class (just kidding)...There was a 30 foot native tree/shrub/grass barrier behind my wooden fence.
This one says to drive it a bit to get it up to temp, then drain. Being the Jeep has been neglected big time, and the heater core is probably 85% clogged, I was hoping to let it stay in there and eat the corrosion.
I hope the stuff works. Not sure how long to leave it in there for.
out of surgery, dr said went well, at home typing with one hand so no caps. 90 with heat index of 96.
block still working so no pain.
Ron when will the block wear off I'll need to have a pain pill on board but need to conserve because of Labor Day pharmacy is. closed and that's when I run out

The light show here was vivid and wild here as well not so much wind but a few miles down the road lots of wind damage as well. Blood work revealed high Calcium is back not good more doctors.

66 presently high of 86 50 percent chance of more storms today tomorrow and Sunday

Prayers for all our Country
Prayers Buppies and wifey.

Good Morning
65° and overcast, but no rain. We got less than 1/10” overnight.

Yesterday was pretty much consumed with my trip to CT, which was a good time. Scott met us at the airport and took us out for some excellent pizza.
It was great to meet him and have some conversation. I think he was surprised about how tight it is getting into the cockpit, planes are definitely designed to make the people in the back comfy. The cockpit is comfortable once you get in your seat though.

Today is off to Portland ME, then I’m done for a while.

The stone masons were busy in my absence yesterday though, so were the tile guys.
Looking better by the day! Glad you and Scotty were able to meet and enjoy pizza together. Better never meet me in person, I'd ask you a million questions about your Montessa alone... :)

Hope your surgery went well. Time will tell. You always are your own worst Helga, but it pays off for you. So, keep up that PT!

Son is frosh, no pic in the paper as far as I know of. They did win their first game against Jarrell here in Giddings last night 0-16. Frosh and JV play on Thursdays in opposite field of where the Friday night's Varsity game is played.

mowed lawn, and maybe a acre and a half with the small tractor. In between all the trees like a slalom ski run on a flat area.

Drew, glad you weren't part of an rv bed toaster event. That really could have ended up bad. Hope meeting with grand niece goes well and your journey keeps rewarding you.

Prayers team.
