Im doing the head & head gasket on my IH7500 International HT570 as we speak.
Luckily, the head isn’t warped or cracked, but they reconditioned it and I should have it back together in a week.

Just a doing a International HT570 head gasket kit and head bolts is over $1,500!
Close to 4 grand for a stinkin head gasket job. I remember rebuilding an entire engine for 3 grand lol.

Aside from the pre emissions DT466, IH doesn’t really have much to compare to Cummins.

Let’s see if we can rally this thread back to maxforce diesels.

Dearated because of an engine fault? Or because the owner derated it?
Emissions fault. But to be fare, most people don't realize you can't idle these new engines.

So it derated itself, but it would still run fast enough to go down the road? I guess around a quarry or mine, speed wasn’t a need?

I could rebuild the front end which my dually needs with 257k miles a lot cheaper than doing much engine work especially a newer diesel with emissions.
Say that when the tie rod falls off your Ram at 60 MPH on the highway, LOL Ask me how I know. I then learned the pattern with my Mega Cab dually.....every 50,000 miles it would start to burn all 6 tires off and you knew it was front end rebuild time.

With the 100’ bucket on it-just like in the picture.
He was also going to deliver it to me (5 hours away) with a current PA inspection.
I have spent many hours in those Altec AH high-line trucks as well as the Terex/Hi-Ranger telescoping upper and lower boom hi-line rigs, set up to do class A live line work that is a $300k setup new, I'll guarantee you when work plcks back up you could sell that rig to a contractor for a healthy profit.

Ya, it would still go, but too slow to go on highway. They had me take it into town for annual safety one time and I had to abandon trip because I was not going to go out on highway that slow, but then I did a forced regen and it was good enough to get to town but it would still give the dash light and lose power randomly.

Ya, hard to beat a DT466. There's a reason many pro-stock and farm-stock pulling tractor engines are based off of those.

From what I have heard, once those bucket rigs hit 10 years old, they are very expensive to get a safety certification on them, so they sell dirt cheap to private contractors.

I just want the chassis, so was going to remove bucket rig, sell it, and put a 25’ flatbed on it to haul hay.

I have 58,000 on my Ram 5500 and the front end still feels brand new. Almost undetectable tire wear.
Only problems so far is CP-4 pump replaced under warranty and a front spindle let go (probably my fault-I drove it through 3’ of water, but replaced under warranty).
Best small truck I ever owned.
Pulls like a Cummins!
