good morning all
warmer weather coming in, high of 78 today, back on went the shorts
it's always wonderful to read how Wagtail is on the other side of our seasons. We are putting our mowers away, he is
firing his up.
David, wonderful LS behaved, that is some serious vegetation you are chopping up, do you have to go very slowly?
other than a haircut today at noon, not much else planned other than working on a long list of stuff to get cleaned up and put away.
more laundry (dobi?) to do today. JD 390 sucked up the leaves beautifully, they were dry and the system likes dry.
But air flow gizmo doesn't seem to work, doesn't show me when bag is full. Not good to overfill
because as those of you who have these things know the leaves back up the pipe and then you have to dig it out.
had my first local apple last night. Oh my are they good. Big taste, big sweetness and none of that awful
wax they put on store fruit. Must be a good apple year, I see promos/loss leaders for 99 cents a pound.
local orchards are 2.50 a pound. Since I've tended and grown orchards I don't begrudge the local orchards a penny.
RS, those are some fine looking peppers. I hope you don't have or get acid reflux, I had to quit eating them.
Sweet peppers are wonderful, particularly stuffed with something.
Mostly, Don, Kyle and other Texans, hope you get some rain. And send it on this way please.
Ted, I'd wish rain for you but that would be wishing and hoping...
so keep watering all your beautiful plants
are you expanding out with all those new bushes and trees you are growing in your nursery?
the oasis expands...
I bet Ted hums:
Midnight at the oasis
Send your camel to bed
Shadows painting our faces
Traces of romance in our heads
Heaven's holding a half-moon
Shining just for us
Let's slip off to a sand dune, real soon
And kick up a little dust
