You Have a Cab?

I spent 25 years using walk behind snowblowers. At my business I have to blow the snow north which is usually into the wind. Would have to tuck the chin and just take it as the wind threw some of the snow back at me. Couple years ago I picked up a used TYM sub-compact. Got a Bercomac snowblower and their vinyl cab for it. Looks ugly but does the job. I was surprised how nice it could be in the cab, wasn't melting anything but I could use light weight gloves and didn't have the parka zipped all the way. With the wind stopped the engine heat could be felt and appreciated. Visibility isn't great in these cabs but adequate, plenty of ventilation. It comes off in the summer as 80 is a hot day in the U.P. and I'm done with mowing in a couple of hours.

I was cussing my cab door this afternoon a few times, using the backhoe on the little Kioti. I was working on quite a side slope and it was a bit of exercise reaching behind me to unlatch the door then backing out of it, to climb up on the hoe. Then repeat several times, did about 60 feet of ditching for a propane line installation tomorrow.
But that is one of the few times.

Odd hot spell this weekend with temps supposed to hit 98 degrees. I'm thinking it's going to be perfect weather for mowing with the cabbed Massey Ferguson after I've done some fencing. When it warms up, it wont matter how hot it is, the cab makes it all better!!!

Mowed & plowed for many years on an open station tractor. A few years back I had spots of skin cancer removed from my face and arms. Started using more sunscreen after that. I no longer have to slather the stuff on anymore since I switched to a cab.

I mowed about 7ac of my daughters overgrown place that she just got. The dust looked like rain rolling down that back glass. About midway, I had to blow out the radiators (4 or 5 of them)to keep the tractor from over heating and to keep the ac blowing. If it had been an open station, I would have sinus trouble for the next 3 weeks.
