1983 Ford 335 4WD industrial

The independent PTO is great. Wet clutch style which can last a long time if it wasn't abused.

Definitely a C on the model. CH designates 335 Highway, which is why it has the tires it does on it.

I will look at the tire combos available on it and let you know.

Thanks again for all the invaluable info .
Looks like I have the makings off a good wee tractor . If you can get any info on the tire and rim sizes that would be great . I’ve been looking into it myself but I can’t find anything for tyres on the 335 that match my tire sizes but I did find this for the 3910 4WD
Rear 13.6-28
Front 8.3-24

Also an option listed as
Rear 14.9-28
Front 9.5-24

I’d be a bit concerned just going for these though with my limited knowledge the ratio between the front and rears doesn’t look as big as the ratio between the ones fitted on the tractor
Rear 12.4-28
Front 10.5-20
Just had a thought that these tyres may not be the same as originals fitted so the tires may be incorrect for the tractors ratio anyway.

Although I’m not sure how you work the ratio out !
Any help with these tyre sizes and options would be much appreciated .

Thanks again

Vin

I will have to dig out my tire books and figure out the ratios, but the 335 is based pretty much around the 3910 painted yellow. Ford made an industrial offering for municipalities and highway outfits. Later, the industrial tractors had a different front reversing gearbox on the axle that allowed for lower profile tires.

Do you mind tossing some photos up? Table scraps, for those of us that can't actually help, lol.

Very cool old Ford; growing up I remember ones looking similar that mowed the highways.

I sure will ! Be patient though as myself and Mrs P are in the middle of building our house just now so not much been happening with the old girl . I don’t have a shed just now either so all work happening exposed to the elements but I will post up some pics very soon .
