Timing can make a difference too as when inventory lingers…Ten years ago my wife and I went to a local dealer to buy two new cars with cash. We were within $150 for both and sales manager wouldn't budge. We drove to another dealer 90 miles away and we got two identical better cars for less money. The salesman said he would have paid $150 of his own money to sell two new cars.
That was a lousy experience you had and I'd give them a bad review on their website.
A dealer with too many losses isn’t around long…
Sometimes creative sales people get around the numbers by offering oil service or detailing, etc.
