Chryslers grandson wants to save the brand

Didn't they stop making the Challenger and Charger due to slow sales?
No. They were victims of the EPA and the government EV mandates.

Even with $10K to $20K added to the price within about two years they were selling well...until (knowing that this was the last hurrah and Dodge producing accordingly) dealers had so many on their lots that they had to start discounting them, sometimes heavily.

With Rams, a large part of high inventory/slow sales was due to recalls, keeping dealers from selling what was on the lots.

None of the above was gathered from You Tubers by the way. I do my best to stay away from that source of information.

Try talking about tanks in the Youtube comments. Some people talk like they know all about it, yet their knowledge comes from playing World of Tanks computergame... which isnt exactly in check with reality, game programmers write the game towards socially desired standards, because they are in the business of meeting customer expectations, they are not historians...

No way. Next, you’re gonna tell me the “tiger” tank in Saving Private Ryan wasn’t actually a tiger tank, or all the wwII German tanks in Patton were actually US tanks of Korean war vintage . No way 😉
Hollywood is no better than YouTube

Way off topic, but the funny thing is there has been Multiple leaks of secret data on War Thunder by people trying to prove their arguements...

The argument being that the game is inaccurate. Which is right, generally speaking, because quality of historic tanks varied wildly during the course of the war. The first T-34 ran straight out of the factory into battle, sometimes without paint. These had a lot of teething problems and were extremely unreliable, though the last versions were up to par with Shermans in terms of mean time between failures, according to Aberdeen proving grounds evaluations. The superior German armour, during the war they ran out of alloys so in the end they were making tanks of almost mild steel.

Stellantis' CEO resigns.
He was in quite inbetween a rock and a hard place.

The EU wants to ban IC engines from 2030 onwards, VW and others invested into meeting that deadline but are nearly going broke complying to woke. You just cant compete against China because all the lithium, cobalt mines are Chinese owned and our industry just cant get the resources for wholesale prices like the Chinese sell each other for.

In America there are laws similar to that of Europe, but it seems the other players active in North America (whether native or foreign owned) dont seem to be in a hurry like Stellantis was...

I dont believe in a battery powered future either, we already dont know where to put our solar and wind energy on a sunny windy day, the (low voltage distribution) grid cant take it and we have no way to store it.

The only way to store electricity is by converting it to hydrogen, the latest generation of electrolyzers have an efficiency of 95% similar to a fast battery charger. That in fiberglass reinforced tanks instead of rare earth minerals of which there simply isnt enough available worldwide to meet demands.

Yet, automakers have to sit this out untill politicians stop interfering with the free market, they will have to bend a bit with the current. Just going all in on a political pipe dream isnt a good idea....

The EU decided competition with China needed to be stopped, so has proposed a 45% tariff on EVs from China.
Maybe they will put this money to good use, probably not.
