Pretty sure the linkage between my in cab shifter H M L and the transmission fell off. The shifter has no pressure and just slides through what should be the gears. Can anyone that has one take a picture of theirs and post it up for me to reference? Here is what mines like thanks for any help

Ok thank you all, I’ll have to drive back out to the farm and check if that’s what it is that would be great. I’ll post an update.

Have somebody get into the cab and cycle the range selectors from low to high. Follow the linkage. If the linking is moving and that movement goes into the case, then the likely cause is the shift fork has come loose from the range shift arm (the shaft going into the case)

Eric when we shift the linkage barely moves it moves a little but I would expect it to move more EveryThing looks intact I was expecting this to move more I followed everything down into the boot of the shifter and everything is attached

Hopefully if it happens to someone else they can read this and learn. A lot easier to actually see what’s going on during the daylight lol and really helps to have a good friend who owns big tractors and was willing to come out and take a look at it for me. Within 2 minutes he diagnosed it. Grateful to have those kind of friends.

Glad it was not something bigger. I have the pin part numbers but do you have the pin sizes to get a generic one? Can't get to dealer for a while.
Thanks,
J

Hey Tiger. I think I just ran into the same issue. I am newer to tractors and am trying to figure two things…

1. Where in your photo is the roller pin? (I am trying to look at diagrams as well)
2. When you got it out did you just use a punch and hammer it out from the back or what?

Thanks for any info. I need to plow my driveway and the road to the barn and I can’t feel my fingers right now lol.

I believe it was in the first pic I posted. I sold the tractor so I can't taken any more pics but with the hydro it was up under shifter in front of the back left tire. It was not fun to punch out because it was tight and mine was broken. Once it came out it was easy to put the new one in. I did add a little epoxy to keep it from happening again

I have the same issue and like you said took 2 minutes to diagnose. My question before I start is 1. Did you have to remove the rear wheel? 2. Can you drive the pin through to remove it or did you have to remove the part to do it..trying to keep it simple(ish). Thanks.

It was tight but I did not have to remove the tire. I used a punch and a short hammer to drive the roll pin out Took a few minutes but was an easy fix when I put the new one in I put some epoxy on the outside to make sure it wouldn't happen again
